Message sent to the Commons, by Mr. Serjeant Finch and Sir Edward Salter, for a Conference about the Bill of Monopolies To-morrow Morning, at Nine, in the Painted Chamber, if it may stand with their Occasions. Their Lordships Committees are Thirty-two.
Answered, That the Commons will meet accordingly with a Committee of Sixty-four, according to the ancient Course.
Vandeput's Naturalization.
The Earl of Warwicke reported the Bill for Naturalizing of Giles Vandeputt, of London, Merchant, as fit to pass, without any Amendments or Addition.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est eadem Billa; and, being put to the Question, was assented unto per plures, and so Expedited.
The Exception taken against (fn. 1) the Naturalizing of Giles Vandeputt was this, That the King shall lose much by his Customs: But the said Giles Vandeputt did satisfy the Committee, and Mr. Attorney General did acknowledge it, That the King hath already, by His Letters Patents, granted unto him that he shall pay no other Customs than English Merchants do pay; which was so reported by the Earl of Warwicke.

Message from the Commons, by Sir Edward Cooke and others: That the House of Commons had sent their Lordships Eight Bills, whereof Five are Public and Three are Private:
1. An Act for the general Quiet of the Subject, against all Pretences of Concealments whatsoever.
2. An Act to prevent and punish the Abuses in procuring Process of Supersedeas of the Peace and Good Behaviour, of His Majesty's Courts at Westm. and to prevent the Abuses in procuring Writs of Certiorari out of the said Courts, for the removing of Indictments found before Justices of the Peace in their General Sessions.
3. An Act against such as shall levy any Fine, suffer any Recovery, knowledge any Statute, Recognizance, Bail, or Judgement, in the Name of any other Person or Persons, not being privy and consenting thereunto.
4. An Act to enable Justices of the Peace to give Restitution of Possession, in certain Cases.
5. An Act for the Free Trade and Traffic of Welch Cloths, Cottons, Linings, and Plains, in and through the Kingdom of England and Dominion of Wales.
6. An Act to enable William Earl of Herteford, and Sir Francis Seymor, Knight, Brother of the said Earl, to convey certain Lands, for Payment of his Debts; and for establishing of other Lands in Lieu thereof, and of better Value.
7. An Act for the confirming and assuring of the Manors of Newelangporte and Seavans, alias Sephans, with their Appurtenances, and divers other Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, in the County of Kent, late being the Inheritance of Sir Henry James, Knight, in a Præmunire convicted, unto Martyn Lomley, now the Mayor of the City of London, Alice Woodroffe, Widow, and Edward Cropley, and their Heirs and Assigns for ever.
8. An Act for the Naturalizing of Jaques de Best.
And the Messenger did especially recommend unto their Lordships the said Bill touching Concealments, as a Bill concerning the general Good and Quiet of all the Ecclesiastical and Temporal Estates of the whole Kingdom.
And that he was commanded to report unto their Lordships, That they are given to understand that His Majesty hath imparted with the like Grace unto His Subjects of Scotland.
Purveyances.
The Lords Committees on the Bill touching Purveyances are to meet on Friday next, the Ninth of this April, at Two, in the Painted Chamber; and not on this Day, as was formerly appointed.
Licences of Alienations.
The Lords Committees on the Bill touching pleading of Licences of Alienations are to meet To-morrow (8 Aprilis), at Two, in the Painted Chamber.
The Earl of Salisbury is appointed to be of all Committees whereof the late Earl of Dorsett was a Committee.
