Message from the H. C. touching Monopolies.
Message from the Commons, by Sir Robert Phillipps and others: That whereas their Lordships did Yesterday desire a Conference with them, for accommodating the Bill of Monopolies, to be this Morning, at Nine; their House did intend to have attended accordingly; but now, a great and weighty Cause as any that ever yet came before them intervening, and many of those of their Committee being employed in the Examining and Inquiry thereof, who were formerly appointed to attend their Lordships at this Conference, they humbly desire to be spared at this Time; and they will attend at any other Time that their Lordships shall appoint.
Answer.
Answered: That the Lords take this their Intimation in very good and acceptable Part; and they refer to the Commons to intimate again unto their Lordships, when the Occasions of their House shall permit a Meeting in this Business.
