DIE Jovis, videlicet, 15 die Februarii,
Domini tam Spirituales quam Temporales, quorum nomina subscribuntur, præsentes fuerunt:
p. Carolus Princeps Walliæ, etc.

THE Lord Archbishop of Cant. his Absence excused by the Lord Chancellor, for Want of Health.
The Lord Bishop of Winchester, his Absence excused, for Want of Health.
The Lord Carewes, Absence excused by the Earl of Warwick, for Want of Health.
Both Houses to receive the King's Answer, concerning Priests, Recusants, &c.
The Lord Chancellor declared, That His Majesty, having been moved, doth assent, that the Committees of both Houses shall, on Saturday next, have Access unto His Highness, and receive his Answer and Pleasure touching their Petition lately exhibited to His Majesty, concerning Jesuits, Seminary Priests, and Popish Recusants, &c.
His Lordship then proposed who should be their Mouth, to deliver unto His Majesty their Desire and humble Request; whereof, his Lordship conceived, there could be now no Conclusion, but a Conference first between Committees of both Houses; whereat they of the Lower House to begin, because they propounded. Agreed generally, That the Lord Chancellor should (as the common Mouth for both Houses) open the Matter desired, and speak therein to His Majesty.
Message to the Commons, about Priests, Recusants, &c.
Hereupon the Lord Chancellor did put them in Mind that they promised to send the Commons Word what Time His Majesty should be pleased to appoint for their Access as aforesaid; and wished that their Lordships, by these Messengers, would pray a Conference, by Committees, touching this Business; which were agreed to be the same that Yesterday were used in the Conference touching this Matter.
It was moved, That the Prince his Highness, and divers Peers particularly named, might now be added unto the former Committees Yesterday appointed, and now allowed to meet with the Committees of the Lower House, for Conference as aforesaid: But, in respect the Number hath been already agreed on, this Motion was not approved; only his Highness was humbly desired, by general Suit of all the Lords both Spiritual and Temporal, that he would be pleased to be added to the said Committee, as aforesaid; whereunto his Highness having graciously yielded, it was generally agreed, That Messengers, videlicet, Mr. Justice Warburton and Mr. Justice Wynch, should be sent unto the Lower House, to desire the Meeting and Conference before mentioned; and that the same Messengers should also intimate unto the Commons, That the Prince his Highness, upon humble Request in that Behalf made unto him by this House, hath vouchsafed to be present, and join in this Conference; and farther, in regard of his Highness's Presence, it is desired by the Lords, that of that House, there will not come over many, besides the Committees by them of that House formerly appointed (Respect had to the Room or Place of Meeting).

The Lord Chancellor.
The Lords Committees being returned from the Conference, the Lord Chancellor reported the Answer of the Committees of the Nether House, videlicet, That they of that House are agreed to join with their Lordships, and to use him the said Lord Chancellor as their common Mouth, at their Access to His Majesty's Presence.
And hereupon his Lordship, having excused his own Weakness for such a Service, desired that there might be a preceding Meeting of the Committees of both Houses, for his further and better Instruction, what to say and deliver, at their Access unto His Majesty.
Message to the Lower House.
Message sent unto the Lower House, by Mr. Serjeant Crew and Mr. Serjeant Finch,
