Despard versus Ormsby.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Cause wherein William Despard and others, Executors of Thomas Croasdail, are Appellants, and Arthur Ormsby and his Wife and others are Respondents:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Thirtieth Day of this Instant June, at Eleven a Clock.

Everard & al. versus Potts & al.

Upon reading the Petition of Mary Everard Widow, Thomas Collingwood and Mary his Wife, Respondents to the Appeal of Peter Potts Gentleman and Thomas Bendlowes Esquire; shewing, "That, since the obtaining the Order of Hearing, they have endeavoured to serve the Appellant Bendlowes therewith; but he absconding, cannot as yet perform the same, as by Affidavit appears;" and praying, "That the Service of the said Order upon the Appellant's Clerk in Court may be good Service:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Service of the said Order on the Appellant's Clerk in Court shall be good Service, in order to the Hearing of the said Cause.

County Elections, to prevent fraudulent Conveyances for multiplying Votes at, Bill:

The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to explain a Clause in an Act of the last Session of Parliament, intituled, An Act for the more effectual preventing fraudulent Conveyances, in order to multiply Votes for the electing Knights of Shires to serve in Parliament, as far as the same relates to the ascertaining the Value of Freeholds of Forty Shillings per Annum."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Foley reported from the said Committee, "That they had gone through the Bill; and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to explain a Clause in an Act of the last Session of Parliament, intituled, An Act for the more effectual preventing fraudulent Conveyances, in order to multiply Votes for the electing Knights of Shires to serve in Parliament, as far as the same relates to the ascertaining the Value of Freeholds of Forty Shillings per Annum."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Hiccocks and Mr. Meller:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Wichalls versus Short.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Cause wherein Mary Wichalls is Appellant, and John Short Respondent:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday the First Day of July next, at Eleven a Clock.

Elections in Scotland, Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for the House to be in a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better regulating the Elections of Members to serve in Parliament for that Part of Great Britain called Scotland:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee thereupon on Thursday next, after the Business that Day already appointed.
