PRAYERS.

Commissioners of Customs, Papers delivered:

The House being informed, "That some of the Commissioners of the Customs attended," they were called in; and delivered, at the Bar, several Papers, intituled as follows:

"Return to the Order of the House of Lords, requiring an Estimate of the Customs in 1676, and the Entry of the Scheme of Trade with France in 1674.

"21st March 1676. 1. Officers Report or Estimate of the Custom on Foreign Wrought Silks, and other Goods.

"2. Copy of a Report from the Commissioners of the Customs, with an Estimate of the Custom on Foreign Wrought Silk and other Goods.

"28th Nov'r 1674. 3. Scheme of the Trade between England and France, from Mich'mas 1668 to Mich'mas 1669.

"4th June 1713, received from the Searchers, 4. An Account of Goods exported from the Port of London to France, from Mich'mas 1668 to Mich'mas 1669.

"5. An Account of Goods imported from France into the Port of London, from the 19th of October 1668 to the 20th October 1669."

And then they withdrew.

And the said Titles were read.

General State of Trade in 1697.

Then the Lord Guilford, from the Commissioners of Trade and Plantations, presented to the House, pursuant to the Order of the Tenth Instant, a Paper, intituled,

"Copy: Representation from the Commissioners of Trade and Plantations, relating to the general State of the Trade of this Kingdom, dated December the 23d, 1697."

And the said Title was read.

Magistrates of Elgin versus Procurator of the Church, &c.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Cause wherein the Magistrates of Elgin are Appellants, and John Dundass Procurator for the Church of Scotland and Sir James Stewart One of Her Majesty's Solicitors for Scotland Respondents:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Twenty-ninth Day of this Instant June, at Eleven a Clock.

Trade with France, from 1660 to 1678.

The Order being read, for taking into Consideration the State of the Trade between England and France, from the Year 1660 to the Year 1678;

And Debate thereupon:

Ordered, That the further Consideration of this Matter be adjourned till Wednesday next, at One a Clock.

Adjourn.
