Shee versus Lawless.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Appeal depending in this House, wherein Richard Shee Esquire is Appellant, and Thomas Lawlesse Gentleman Respondent; as also the Cross Appeal of the said Thomas Lawless, whereunto the said Richard Shee is Respondent:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Causes, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Twenty-fifth Day of this Instant June, at Eleven a Clock.

Sir H. Paterson versus Moderator of the Presbytery, Stirling:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Sir Hugh Paterson of Bannockburn Baronet, and John Murray of Tochaddam, Archibald Seaton of Touch, and John Erskine of Balgonny, Esquires, Heretors or Proprietors of the Parish of St. Ninians, in the County of Stirling, in Scotland, on Behalf of themselves and the other Heretors or Proprietors of the said Parish; complaining of a Decree made by the Lords Commissioners for Plantation of Kirks and Valuation of Tiends, in the Year 169⁷/8; and of Two Interlocutors, of the Eleventh and Eighteenth of February last, made by the Lords of Council and Session, on the Behalf of the Moderator of the Presbytery of Stirling aforesaid; and praying, "That the said Decree and Interlocutors may be reversed:" As also upon the Answer of the Moderator of the said Presbytery put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement reversed.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Decree and Interlocutors in the said Appeal complained of shall be, and are hereby, reversed.

Excommunication, too frequent, to prevent, Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for the House to be put in a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the too frequent Denunciation of Excommunication, in the Exercise of Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee thereupon, on Thursday next, the First Business; and all the Lords to be summoned; and also that One of the Judges of each Court do then attend this House.

Robberies in Houses, to prevent, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual preventing and punishing Robberies that shall be committed in Houses."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Thursday next; and that, in the mean Time, Copies thereof be sent to the Judges; and that One Judge of each Court do then attend this House, in relation to the said Bill.

Soldiers, &c. to exercise Trades, and Officers to accompt, Bill.

Ordered, That, on Thursday next, this House shall be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable such Officers and Soldiers as have been in Her Majesty's Service during the late War to exercise Trades; and for Officers to accompt with their Soldiers."
