PRAYERS.

The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of the Parliament."

Then the Lords Commissioners, being seated on a Form placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Chancellor in the Middle; the Lord Chamberlain on his Right Hand; and the Earl of Manchester on his Left; commanded the Deputy Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to let the Commons know, That the Commissioners desire them to come, and hear the said Commission read."

Then the Lord Chancellor said,

"My Lords, and Gentlemen,

Parliament prorogued.

"By Virtue of Her Majesty's Commission now read, and to us (among other Lords) directed, we do, in Her Majesty's Name, prorogue this Parliament to Tuesday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant May: And this Parliament is prorogued accordingly to Tuesday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant May.
