PRAYERS.

Miccleburgh versus Crispe.

Whereas To-morrow is appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Henry Miccleburgh is Appellant, and Samuel Crispe Respondent; the House being this Day moved, by Consent on either Side, "That a further "Day may be appointed for hearing thereof:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday next, at Eleven a Clock: And it is further Ordered, That Abraham Baker, Minister of Kirby Cane, in Norfolke, Clerk, shall be, and he is hereby, allowed to enter into a Recognizance for the Appellant Henry Miccleburgh.

Then, it being proposed "To adjourn the House:"

The Question was put, "Whether this House shall be now adjourned until To-morrow, Eleven a Clock?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Message from H. C. that they will be present at Dr. Sacheverel's Trial, as a Committee of the whole House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Bromley and others:

To acquaint this House, that, upon Consideration of the Message sent to them on Saturday last, "That this House had appointed Thursday next, at Eleven a Clock, for the Trail of Henry Sacheverell Doctor in Divinity, at the Bar of this House; and that this House will take Care that there shall be Conveniencies made there, for the Managers of the House of Commons, at the Bar, upon the Impeachment against him;" the Commons have come to this Resolution; (videlicet,)

"Resolved, That the House of Commons will be present, at the Trial of the Impeachment against Doctor Henry Sacheverell, as a Committee of the whole House; and they do desire a convenient Accommodation may be prepared for them accordingly."

Address for a Place to be prepared in Westm r Hall for the Trial:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords with White Staves do humbly move Her Majesty, from this House, That She will be pleased to give Order for a Place to be prepared in Westminster Hall, for this House to proceed upon the Trial of Henry Sacheverell, Doctor in Divinity, who now stands impeached before this House.

Message to H. C. to acquaint them with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Gery and Mr. Hiccocks:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have addressed Her Majesty, that She will be pleased to give Order for a Place to be prepared in Westminster Hall for this House to proceed upon the Trial of Henry Sacheverell, Doctor in Divinity, who now stands impeached before this House.

Message from thence, with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Wortley and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for securing the Freedom of Parliaments, by limiting the Number of Officers in the House of Commons;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Then, it being proposed, "That the Bill be now read;"

And Debate thereupon:

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be now read?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Ordered, That the said Bill be read the First Time on Thursday next, at Eleven a Clock; and that all the Lords be summoned to attend.
