After reading, and considering, the Report of the Lord Chief Baron of the Court of Exchequer and Mr. Justice Blencowe, upon the Petition of John Bromley Esquire and others; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, Intituled, "An Act for selling the Estate of Thomas Stephens Esquire, in the Counties of Chester and Stafford; and for settling of another Estate, of as great or greater Value, in the County of Gloucester, to the same Uses."
Gay's Petition referred to Judges.
Upon reading the Petition of Winifred Gay Widow, Relict and Administratrix of John Gay Gentleman, deceased, Francis Gay, Major Phillips, Quirina Philips, Mary Gay, Thomas Goddard Clerk, Ambrose Awdry, Jeremy Awdry, Thomas Dugdale Gentleman, Joseph Langton, Edward Carter, Esquires, Robert Peirce Doctor in Physic, and William Wilcox Gentleman; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for vesting of the Estate and Interest of Goddard Gay, in the Petition mentioned, in Persons in Trust, to sell and convey the same; and to pay the Money arising thereon to the said Goddard Gay (if he be living, and shall demand the same within Seven Years), or at the End of such Time to such Persons as shall be entitled to the same under him; as also to direct the Sale of the Term of Fourscore and Nineteen Years, limited by the Settlement in the Petition mentioned; and for applying the Money arising thereby for the same Trusts and Purposes as the said Term is by the said Settlement limited:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Baron Price and Mr. Justice Dormer; who are forthwith to summon all Parties that are to be concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.
War in Spain.
The House, pursuant to Order, was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee again, to proceed further in Consideration of the State of the Nation, in relation to the War in Spain, and the Papers relating thereto.
After some Time, the House was resum ed.
And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had made some further Progress in the Matters to them referred; and desired another Time may be appointed, for the House to be in a Committee, to proceed therein."
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed further in Consideration of the State of the Nation, in relation to the War in Spain, and the Papers relating thereto, on Wednesday next, at Twelve a Clock.
