Sir Thomas Cave's Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir Thomas Cave, of Stanford, in the County of Leicester, Baronet, to sell certain Lands, in Eydon, Moreton Pinckney, and Cannons Ashby, in the County of Northampton, to raise Money, to pay his Brothers and Sisters Portions; and settle other Lands, in the said County of Northampton, of like Value, to the same Uses."
Burnet's Nat. Bill.
The Lord Sommers reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing "William Burnet Esquire," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Dolbin's Petition rejected.
The House, pursuant to Order, taking into Consideration the Matter of John Dolben's Petition, read in this House on the Eight and Twentieth Day of November last;
And after Debate thereupon:
It is this Day Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition of John Dolben shall be, and is hereby, rejected.
Lords absent excused.
The Lord Keeper gave the House an Account of the several Letters he received from the absent Lords, to whom he had writ by Order of the House; (videlicet),
Who, for several Reasons, were excused their Attendance.
Security of Queen's Person, and Protestant Succession, Bill.
The Order being read, for the House to be put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better Security of Her Majesty's Person and Government, and of the Succession to the Crown of England, in the Protestant Line."
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with several Amendments and Clauses."
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments and Clauses.
Adjourn.
