Bankrupts.

A BILL for the better Disposition of Bankrupts Estates was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Rights of the Subject.

Mr. Foley reports from the Committee to whom it was referred to prepare and bring in a Bill for the establishing the Rights of the Subject, That they had prepared a Bill accordingly, which they had directed him to report to the House: And he delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Recovery of Tythes, &c.

A Bill for the more easy Recovery of small Tythes, and Repair of Churches, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Restoring Corporations.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to prepare and bring in a Bill for Restoring and Confirming of Corporations.

And it is referred unto Sir Hen. Capell, Sir Edw. Seymour, Sir Tho. Clarges, Sir John Wyn, Mr. Sacheverell, Sir Walter Young, Sir John Knatchbull, Sir Fran. Drake, Mr. Hamden, Mr. Serjeant Trenchard, Colonel Birch, Sir John Trevor, Major Wildman, Mr. Etterick, Sir Thomas Bloys, Mr. Christy, Mr. Solicitor General, Mr. Miller, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Sir Tho. Littleton, Mr. Paul Foley, Sir John Knight, Mr. Finch, Sir Math. Andrews, Mr. Hawles, Colonel Whitley, Sir Fra. Russell, Mr. Coningsby, Mr. Fuller, Sir Wm. Ellis, Sir Charles Cæsar, Major Wildman, Mr. Gray; or any Five of them: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Complaint concerning Colston, &c.

A Petition of Eliz. Martha, Grace, and Sarah Colston, Daughters of John Colston, late of the Island of St. Helena, was read; setting forth, That John Colston, the Petitioners said Father, resided several Years in the said Island; and by his Industry there, made a comfortable Provision for his Family: And that, in 1685, the Managers of the East India Company procured a Commission to try the Petitioners said Father, with sundry others, by a Court Martial, for a pretended Rebellion: And accordingly Sir John Weyborne, who brought out the Commission, together with Major Blackmore, the Governor, with other their Associates, presumed to try and condemn to Death the Petitioners said Father; who they cruelly executed the Three-and-twentieth of November 1685: And that, after they had thus taken away the Petitioners Father's Life, they seized his Estate, and thereby reduced his Widow, with Seven Children, to great Distress and Misery: And praying their Case may be heard, that those who have been instrumental in shedding the Blood of the Petitioners Father, may be brought to Justice; and that such Restitution and Satisfaction may be made to their distressed Mother, as to the Wisdom of the House shall seem meet.

Ordered, That the Matter of the said Petition be heard at the Bar of this House, This day-sevennight, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.

East India Company.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to consider of the East India Trade; and how it may be managed to the best Advantage of the Nation.

Drake, Mr. Christy, Colonel Austen, Mr. Hamden, Mr. Rowe, Mr. Pollexfen, Mr. Willoughby, Mr. Sherrard, Sir Fra. Guibon, Mr. Fuller, Mr. Arnold, Mr. Leveson Gowre, Sir John Cotton, Mr. Smith, Sir Cha. Cæsar, Mr. Montague, Mr. Coningsby, Sir John Knight, Sir Ralph Dutton, and all the Members of the House that serve for the Sea Ports: And all that come to have Voices: And they are to meet Tomorrow in the Afternoon, at Four of the Clock, in the Queen's Court: And they are impowered to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Oaths of Allegiance, &c.

Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That a Bill be brought in for the better Securing of the Government, by more effectual enjoining the Tendering and taking of the Oaths which are appointed in the room of the late Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy.

Russell, Mr. Solicitor General, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Coningsby, Mr. Attorney General, Mr. Smith, Mr. Serjeant Trenchard, Mr. Paul Foley, Major Wildman, Lord Marquis Winton, Mr. Serjeant Wogan, Sir Thomas Lee, Mr. Hawles, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Sir Fra. Blake, Sir Thomas Littleton, Sir John Thomson, Mr. Hamden, Mr. Faux, Mr. England, Mr. Papillion, or any Three of them, to prepare the Bill with all convenient Speed.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

Attainder of Persons in Rebellion.

Resolved, That a Bill be brought in to attaint all such Persons as are in Rebellion against their Majesties.

And it is referred unto Mr. Smith, Mr. Solicitor General, Mr. Sacheverell, Mr. Serjeant Trenchard, Mr. Garway, Mr. Attorney General, Mr. Paul Foley, or any Three of them, to prepare the Bill with all convenient Speed.
