Quarta, An Act for the better and more reverent Observing of the Sabbath Days, with new Amendments of the Lords Amendments, by them of the Lower House.

Item 1a, 2a, et 3a vice lectæ sunt, the Amendments of them of the Commons House, quæ communi omnium Procerum Assensu conclusæ sunt.

Clarck, Servant to Lord Leicester, released from the King's-bench, on Account of Privilege.

Memorandum, That where one Ferdinando Clarck, one of the Ordinary Gentlemen to the Right Honourable Roberte Earl of Leicestre, Lord Steward, was committed to the Prison commonly called The King's Bench, upon a Reddit se in the King's Bench, for the Discharge of his Sureties, sithence the Beginning of this present Parliament; the Lords, at the Motion of the Lord North, in the Name of the Lord Steward, claiming the ancient Priviledge of this High Court, after Hearing of the Cause betwixt the said Ferdinando and one John Lacie, Citizen of London; the Lords Ordered, That the said Ferdinando, by virtue of the Priviledge of this High Court, should be enlarged, and set at Liberty; and further, [That, forasmuch as the said Ferdinando was not arrested in Execution at the Suit of the said John Lacie, but was committed after Judgement, by the Lord Chief Justice and the rest of the Justices of the King's Bench, upon a [Reddit se,] for Discharge of his Sureties and their Bonds,] the said Lords Ordered, That, touching the Sum of Money recovered by the said John Lacie against the said Ferdinando Clarcke, the said Lacie and Ferdinando Clarcke shall stand to such Order and Mitigation therein, as the said Lord Chief Justice, and the other Justices of the King's Bench, shall set down and order for the same; and further Ordered, That the Appearance of the said Ferdinando Clarcke, by rendering himself in the said Court of King's Bench, was, and should be, a sufficient Discharge of his Sureties and their Bonds; and that the Bonds should be re-delivered. And it is further Ordered, That Catesbie, Marshal of the King's Bench, should be discharged of the Prisoner, and of any Action that might be brought against (fn. 1) the said Marshal for the same.
