Prayers.

Privilege.

ORDERED, That Mr. Samuell Pickering, William Wareing the elder, and William Wareing the younger, be discharged from their Commitment to the Serjeant at Arms, paying their Fees; which Mr. Speaker is desired to moderate.

An Information being given, That one Ralph Whitfeild, Servant to Mr. Progers, a Member of this House, was lately arrested upon a Bill of Middlesex, at the Suit of Anne Wells Widow; and is detained in Custody at the House of one Browne, a Bailiff in Holborne, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament;

Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Speaker to examine the Matter: And if he find that the said Whitfeild was arrested contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, that then he do give Order for his Discharge.

Northern Borders.

Sir Francis Goodrick reports from the Committee to which the Bill for continuing a former Act for Prevention of Theft and Rapine on the Northern Borders was committed, some Amendments, agreed by the Committee: Which he read; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the Amendments were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Replevins.

Colonel Kirkby reports from the Committee to which the Bill for enlarging a former Act touching Replevins to Causes depending in Wales was committed, some Amendments, agreed by the Committee: Which he read; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table. And the Amendments were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with . . . Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Tayleur's Petition.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Grievances, upon the Petition of Mr. Tayleur, be heard on Saturday next.

Publick Accompts.

Mr. Steward reports from the Committee of the whole House, some Amendments, agreed by the Committee to be made to the Proviso for taking an Accompt of the Publick Monies, upon Oath: Which he read, with the Coherence; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the Amendments, to the 14 Line of the First Folio, to the 27 Line of the Second Folio, and the 37 Line of the same Folio, were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed.

The Amendment of the 31 Line of the same Folio being twice read, and debated:

Resolved, &c. That these Words be inserted; viz. "both Houses of Parliament, to the End his Majesty may receive a just Account how the said Monies have been disbursed for his Majesty's Service."

Which was done.

The Committee having referred it to the House to fill up the Blank in the Proviso for Commissioners Names;

The Question being put, That the Commissioners be named by the House;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Resolved, &c. That the Number of Commissioners shall be Twenty-four, and a Quorum Five.

Resolved, &c. That the Commissioners be named in the House; and, on the Question, be allowed by the House.

The Question being propounded, Whether such Members as were against the Proviso be excused from being Commissioners;

The Question being put, That this Question be now put;

The House was divided.

Another Amendment being, upon the Question, agreed, and made to the Proviso, at the Table.

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso concerning the Taking of Accompts of publick Monies, tendered to be made Part of the Poll Bill, shall be converted into a distinct Bill of itself.

Resolved, &c. That the Words "provided always that," in the Beginning of the Proviso, be left out.

The same being altered and converted into a Bill, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir Thom. Littleton, Mr. Garraway, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Robert Howard, Sir Anthony Irby, Colonel Strangwaies, Mr. Crouch, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Swynfen, Colonel Phillips, Mr. Comptroller, Sir Edw. Wallpoole, Sir Thom. Meres, Mr. Seymour, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Solom. Swale, Mr. Pryn, Sir Thom. Osborne, Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir Thom. Dolman, Sir John Talbott, Mr. Buscawen, Sir Charles Harbord, Sir Edm. Peirce, Mr. Thomas, Sir Richard Franklyn, Sir Capell Luckin, Mr. Pleydall, Sir Hen. Cæsar: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Five of the Clock in the Speaker's Chamber: And have Power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And they are to consider of some Provisions for Clerks, Messengers, and other Officers, in order to the Service; and report the same, with the Bill, to the House, Tomorrow Morning.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow, Two of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Fire of London Judicature.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for erecting a Judicature for Determining of Causes between Landlord and Tenant, whose Houses were burnt down in the late calamitous Fire, be revived; and do sit Tomorrow in the Afternoon at Two of the Clock, and in the Place formerly appointed; and so de die in diem.

Bodvile's Estate.

Resolved, &c. That the Members of this House that gave Evidence in the Cause concerning Mr. Robarts, have Leave to give Evidence in the said Cause before the House of Lords.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
