ORDERED, That Sir Hen. Felton, Mr. Dunster, Sir Edm. Fortescue, Mr. Wharton, Sir Wm. Tompson, Sir Robert Spencer, Sir Cyrill Wyche, Sir Hen. Peckham, Sir Hugh Bethell, Colonel Strangwaies, Sir Denny Ashburnham, Mr. John Strangwaies, Sir Wm. Smith, Sir Clifford Clifton, Sir John Fagg, Sir Fowke Lucy, be added to the Committee of Elections.

Replevins.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill touching Avowries and Replevins is committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock.

Bristoll Election.

Sir Job Charlton reports from the Committee of Elections, That they had examined the Merits of the Cause touching the Election for the City of Bristoll; and found, That Sir Humfry Hooke had much the Majority of Voices: And that the Opinion of the Committee was, That Sir Humfry Hooke was duly elected, and ought to sit.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, That Sir Humfry Hook was duly elected, and ought to sit.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Wendy have the Leave of this House to go into the Country.

Hussey's Estate.

A Bill for enabling Robert Hussey Esquire to dispose the Manor of Winterbourne Thompson, in the County of Dorsett, was read the Second time.

Chimney Money.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee do prepare and bring in a Bill for Sale of Chimney Money, on Friday next: And that Mr. Mountague be added to those Members to whose Care the Bill is re-committed.

French Commodities.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir John Coell and Mr. Proctor;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords desire a present Conference with this House, in the Painted Chamber, upon the Subject Matter of the last Conference.

The Messengers being called in; Mr. Speaker acquaints them, that the House had agreed to a present Conference.

Ordered, That the Persons formerly appointed, and Sir Job Charlton do manage the Conference.

Sir Job Charlton reports from the Conference had with the Lords, upon the Subject Matter of the last Conference touching the prohibiting the Importation of French Commodities, That the Lords had agreed to the Votes of this House; with an Addition of a Clause to the End of the last Vote, in these Words; viz.

"And further humbly to acquaint his Majesty, That, unless the like Prohibition be made in all the rest of his Majesty's Dominions, it is not likely to have that Effect which his Two Houses of Parliament do desire."

The Question being put, To agree with the Lords in the Amendment by them proposed;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, That a Conference be desired with the Lords, upon the Subject Matter of the last Conference: And that Mr. Seymour do desire the Conference.

Canary Patent.

Mr. Seymour reports, That the Lords would send an Answer, by Messengers of their own, to the Votes of this House touching the Patent of the Canary Company: And had agreed to a present Conference on the Subject Matter of the last Conference.

Atheism, &c.

Ordered, That Mr. Henley, Mr. Steward, Sir Jo. Birkinhead, Sir Allen Apsley, Mr. Ratcliffe, Mr. Hobby, Sir Allen Broadrick, Sir John Knight, be added to the Committee to which the Bill against Atheism and Profaneness was committed: And that the Committee be revived; and do sit this Afternoon.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Hyde have the Leave of this House to go into the Country for Ten Days.

Highways.

Ordered, That a Bill be brought in for Continuance of a former Act touching the Highways.

Time for attending the King.

A Message from the Lords by Sir John Cole and Mr. Proctor;

The Lords have acquainted you, That they have appointed the Lord Chamberlain to attend his Majesty, to know, When his Pleasure is to be attended with the Votes touching the prohibiting the Importation of French Commodities: And that, when they know the Time, they will send Notice thereof to this House: And have appointed Twelve of their House, and desire this House to name a proportionable Number, to attend his Majesty.

Ordered, That Sir Job Charlton, Sir Geo. Downing, Sir Thom. Clifford, Mr. Garraway, Mr. Seymour, Sir Thom. Ingram, Sir Phill. Warwick, Sir John Birkenhead, Mr. Hyde, Sir Thom. Lee, Lord Herbert, Sir Hen. Cæsar, Sir Robert Atkins, Sir John Knight, Mr. Millward, Sir Thom. Gower, Lord Cornbury, Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir Thom. Littleton, Sir James Thyn, Sir Hen. Wood, Lord Fitzharding, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Richard Temple, be appointed to join with the Twelve Lords, in attending his Majesty with the Votes against the Importation of French Commodities.

Supply.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee of the whole House do first take into Consideration an Imposition on the Consumption of Commodities, in order to his Majesty's Supply.
