Lord Strangford's Estate.

ORDERED, That Sir Edward Thurland, Sir Wm. Portman, Mr. Scowen, Mr. Evelyn, Colonel Sandys, Sir John Heath, Mr. Hobby, Sir Thom. Strickland, Mr. Herbert, Colonel Phillips, Sir Thom. Allen, Sir John Brampston, be added to the Committee to which the Bill concerning the Lord Strang ford is committed.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Richard Braham have the Leave of this House to go into the Country.

Kendall's Estate.

A Bill to enable Mr. Henry Kendall to sell Lands, for Payment of Debts, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Mr. Millward, Sir Thom. Strickland, Mr. Chetwyn, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Sandys, Mr. Street, Lord Allington, Mr. Hungerford, Colonel Sandys, Sir Solom. Swale, Mr. Grey, Sir Thomas Tompkins, Mr. Pepis, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Hobby, Dr. Burrell, Sir Wm. Lewis, Sir Rowland Berkley, and all the Members of this House that serve for the Counties of Leicester, Derby, and Stafford: And they are to meet at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Privilege.

Ordered, That Gyles Bridgman, and Thomas Pepis, an Attorney at Law, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, or his Deputy, to answer their Breach of Privilege, in making out Execution, and causing the same to be executed, and Possession taken of Lands, wherein the Title of Colonel Walden and Sir Wm. Smith, Two Members of this House, is concerned, since the Privilege of Parliament.

Duelling.

A Bill against Duelling was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Friday next.

Papists.

Ordered, That Mr. Harvey, having been summoned to attend the Committee appointed to receive Information, touching the Insolency of Papists, and having made Default therein; be forthwith sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, or his Deputy, to answer his Contempt in not attending.

Suits arising from Fire of London.

A Bill for present Prevention of Suits by Landlords against their Tenants, whose Houses were burnt down by the late Fire, was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Friday next.

Ly. Arlington's Nat.

Sir Thomas Gower reports from the Committee to which the Bill for naturalizing the Lord Arlington's Lady was committed, That the Committee had perused the Bill; and found no Cause to make any Alteration or Amendment therein.

The Plague.

A Bill for making Provision for such as shall be infected with the Plague was read the First time.

Ordered, That the Bill be read the Second time on Saturday next.

Supply.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Millward took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Millward reports, That the Committee had some further Debate; but did not come to any Conclusion.
