Reversing Stanley's Attainder.

APETITION of Sir Charles Stanley, Knight of the Bath, was read.

A Petition to the King's Majesty, and his Majesty's Answer, was read.

Ordered, That Leave be given for a Bill to be brought in, on the Behalf of the said Sir Charles Stanley.

A Bill for reversing the Attainder of Sir Charles Stanley, touching the Death of George Symonds, was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time Tomorrow Morning.

Bedford Level.

Ordered, That the additional Bill concerning the Great Level of the Fens, called Bedford Level, be read Tomorrow Morning.

Jucks' Petition.

The ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for the Enabling of Thomas Jucks, of Treliddan in the County of Montgomery, Esquire, to sell Lands, for the Payment of his Debts, and Raising of younger Children's Portions, was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be agreed to.

Molin's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for restoring the right Heir of Michaell Molins Esquire, deceased, unto the Equity of Redemption of a Mortgage of Lands in Berks, made to Sir Nathaniell Brent, was read.

Resolved, &c. That these Words, "in the High Court of Chancery," be inserted in the Bill, after the Word "Discount."

Which was done accordingly; and the Words twice read; and agreed to.

Navy Debt.

Sir Richard Ford reports from the Committee to which it was referred to receive Proposals, and report some Expedient to the House, for Satisfaction of the Debts due to the Creditors of the Navy, That the Committee had agreed an Expedient, in Writing, to be reported to the House: Which he read; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And was as followeth; viz.

That it be reported to the House, as the Opinion of the Committee, That an humble Address be made by the House to the King, that it may please his Majesty to give Order, That One-half of all the Money that shall come into the Treasury of Prizes, by the Sale of Ships and Goods laden and condemned during the present War with the United Provinces, may be appointed to the Satisfaction of the Creditors of the Navy, until the Debts be fully paid, as they were formerly stated and reported by the Committee, and approved by this House; as a Debt, which, in Honour and Justice, ought to be satisfied: And that in case the War shall be ended in Two Years, and the Debt not discharged by the Means aforesaid, that then his Majesty would be graciously pleased to appoint, that the Remainder shall be completed out of the Money to be levied for the last Three Months of the Thirty-six Months of the Royal Aid granted to his Majesty in this present Session of Parliament.

And the same being again read; and debated;

The Question being put, To agree with the First Part of the Report, in relation to Prize Goods;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, To agree with the latter Part of the Report, in relation to the Three last Months Assessment of the Royal Aid;

It passed in the Negative.

Bishop of Winton's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to enable the Bishop of Winton to convey One hundred Acres to the Rector of Bishops Waltham, and his Successors, in lieu of all Tythes, and Payments for Tythes, due to the said Rector, and his Successors, for Waltham Parks, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Mr. James, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir John Goodrick, Mr. John Vaughan, Sir Tho. Littleton, Colonel Fretzvile, Sir Nich. Cary, Colonel Sandys, Sir Rich. Earl of Thanett's Estate.

A Bill for confirming a Settlement between the Earl of Thanett and his younger Brothers, was read the First time.

Micklethwait's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to confirm an Act to enable Joseph Micklethwait, an Infant, and his Trustees, to sell Lands, for Payment of his Father's Debts, was read the First time.

Duchy of Lancaster Affidavits.

A Bill to enable the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster to impower Commissioners to take Affidavits in the Country, was read the First time.

A Bill for settling the Navigation in the River Wye, in the County of Surrey, was read the First time.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for Regulating and Ordering of Buildings, and for Amending of Highways and Sewers; and for Making clean of the Streets, and other Places, in and about the Cities of London and Westminster; and for Regulating and Licensing of Hackney Coaches; was read the First time.

But it appearing, that the said Bill was to impose and continue a Tax upon the People, which ought to have begun in this House;

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Bill be laid aside.
