Bing's &c. Nat.

ORDERED, That the Names of Judith and Katharine Bing be inserted into the Bill for Naturalization.

Ordered, That the Name of Bevill Skelton be inserted into the Bill for Naturalization: And that these Members following be added to the Committee to which the said Bill is committed; viz. Mr. Crouch, Mr. Westfaling, Sir John Brampston, Sir Cha. Cottrell, Mr. Langherne, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Morrice, Mr. Lloyd, Colonel Edw. Phillips, Mr. Owen.

Regulating Vestries.

A Bill for the Regulating of Vestries was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Writs of Error.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to prevent the Abatement of Writs of Error, upon Judgments in the Exchequer, was this Day read the First time.

Linqueback's Nat.

Ordered, That the Name of * Linqueback be inserted into the Bill for Naturalization.

Seignior's Estate.

Amendments, sent from the Lords, to an ingrossed Bill, sent up from this House, to enable the Sale of some of the Lands of Richard and Anthony Seignior, were twice read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Amendments be agreed to; and inserted into the Bill.

Slindon Manor.

A Bill for investing the Manor of Slindon, in the Crown, was this Day read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the Bill be committed;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Bill be rejected;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Sale of Offices.

Sir Richard Temple reports from the Committee appointed to consider of Matters for preventing the Sale of Offices, the Opinion of the Committee, That the Committee be impowered, by the House, to bring in a Bill as well for the Discovery of the Offences against the Statute of the Fifth of Edward the VIth, and other Statutes, concerning the Buying and Selling of Offices, committed since the First of January 1659, as for the preventing the future Sale of Offices.

The Question being put, That Leave be given to the Committee, for the bringing in a Bill for Discovery of Offences against the Statute of the Fifth of Edward the VIth, and other Statutes, concerning the Buying and Selling of Offices, committed since the Twenty-fourth of June 1660;

The House was divided:

Sale of Offices.

Ordered, That the Committee for preventing Sale of Offices do sit on Monday next.

Deane Forest.

Sir John Wintour, being called in to the Bar of this House, to produce his Patent, by which he makes Claim to the Trees in the Forest of Deane, did accordingly bring in and leave his Patent, and other Papers, touching the same.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee formerly appointed to inspect That Branch of his Majesty's Revenue, arising by the Crown Lands; to inspect the Patent touching Deane Forest, and Papers, brought in by Sir John Wintour, on Monday next; and to make their Report therein to the House.

Coppleston's Estate.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Wm. Child and Sir Toby Woolrich;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down a Bill for vesting certain Lands of John Coppleston Gentleman, in Sir Francis Vincent Knight and Baronet, Thomas Waldegrave Esquire, Charles Cornwallis Esquire, Thomas Westlake Gentleman, and their Heirs, to sell, for Payment of his Debts.

Excise Revenue.

Ordered, That the Members that do come, shall have Votes at the Committee touching the Excise: And that these Members following be added to the Committee; viz. Sir Edm. Pooley, Mr. Newton, Sir Cha.
