NICHOLAS Lichere did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, at the Clerk's Table, in order to his being naturalized.

Prayers.

Lichere's Nat.

Ordered, That the Name of Nicholas Lichere be inserted into the Bill for Naturalization.

Brewers.

A Petition on the Behalf of the Brewers of Surrey being this Day tendered to the House;

Ordered, That the said Petition of the Brewers of the County of Surrey be referred to the Committee appointed to inspect That Branch of his Majesty's Revenue arising by the Excise; to take the same into Consideration; and report their Opinions therein to the House.

Loyalists Bonds.

Ordered, That all such Persons as have in their Custody, any Bonds, or other Securities, heretofore given by the Loyal Party, upon their Imprisonments, or any other Occasion, for their quiet Demeanor, in the late Times, do, upon Notice, forthwith bring in such Bonds in this House; or else appear, and give an Account, What is become of such Bonds and Securities.

Ordered, That Mr. Rigby do prepare, and bring in, a Bill to make void such Bonds and Securities as were heretofore given by the Loyal Party, for their quiet Demeanor, in the late Times.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Denny Ashburnham, Sir George Courtop, and Sir John Holland, have the Leave of this House to be absent in the Country, for a Week, notwithstanding the Order for the Calling over the House, on Penalty of Five Pounds for every Member that shall be absent.

Profaneness, &c.

A Bill to prevent Licentiousness, Profaneness, and Impiety, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be committed to Sir Hen. Worsley, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Westphaling, Sir Roger Bradshaigh, Colonel Reames, Sir Nich. Steward, Sir Job Charlton, Mr. Clifford, Mr. Gaudy, Mr. Mountague, Mr. Rigby, Sir Robert Holt, Mr. Hen. Coventry, Colonel Phillips, Sir Tho. Tompkins, Lord Castleton, Sir Tho. Smith, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir John Goodrick, Sir John Fitz James, Sir Rich. Oatley, Mr. Culleford, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Tho. Allen, Sir Anth. Lindsey Level.

The House proceeded to resume the Cause upon the Bills depending in the House, concerning the Draining of Lindsey Level in Lincolnshire.

Lyndsey Level.

A Petition, in the Name of several Lords Owners and Commoners of and within the Fens and Low Grounds, lying within the Level, called Lyndsey Level, in Lincolnshire, was read.

The Question being put, That the Parties concerned, and the Counsel, be called in;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

And the Parties, and their Counsel, were accordingly called in to the Bar of the House.

And several Witnesses being examined on the Behalf of Sir William Killigrew and Sir Henry Heron; and crossexamined on the Behalf of the Lords Owners and Commoners within the said Level; and Counsel heard on both Sides; the Lords Owners and Commoners alledging, that their Witnesses were not yet come up to Town; and they were not now prepared to make out their full Defence; and therefore praying a further Day;

Resolved, &c. That the further Hearing of the Cause upon the Bills depending, concerning the Draining of Lyndsey Level, be put off till Wednesday next: And That Day to be final to both Parties.

Preventing Popery, &c.

Ordered, That the Report upon the Bill to prevent the Growth of Popery be heard on Thursday Morning.

And then the House adjourned till Saturday Morning next, Eight of the Clock.
