Prayers.

Carmen.

ORDERED, That the Report of the Carmen be made This-day-sevennight.

Dover Harbour.

Ordered, That the Report touching Dover Harbour, from the Council of State, be made To-morrow Morning.

Sir J. Mounson.

Ordered, That Mr. Attorney do report the Business of Sir John Mounson To-morrow Morning.

Claims on Publick Faith.

The humble Petition of divers Well-affected, in behalf of themselves, and others, inhabiting in and about the City of London, who have lent several Sums of Money, upon the Publick Faith, to about Twenty thousand Pounds, as in a List may more largely appear, was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of Indemnity, to consider what Qualifications are fit to be set down, touching the Payment of the Publick Faith, at the present; and the Persons to be paid; and how the same may be paid; and to report their Opinion to the House on This-day-fortnight.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee, to report to the House the State of the Business touching the Ten Thousand Pounds, formerly ordered to be paid to such as voluntarily lent, upon the Publick Faith, Ten Pounds, and under, in the Year 1642; and where the same Ten thousand Pounds lies, together with their Opinion, how the same may be distributed, according to the former Vote.

Invalid Soldiers.

Ordered, That Mr. Garland do report the Amendments to the Bill for sick and maimed Soldiers, &c. on Tuesday Morning, the first Business; and nothing to intervene.

Ordered, That the Report of Potter's List be made on Tuesday Morning, next after the Business of the sick and maimed Soldiers.

Ld. Brohall.

Ordered, That the Lord Brohall's Business be taken into Consideration on Wednesday next.

Col. Joyce.

The humble Petition of Colonel George Joyce, was this Day read.

St. Albon's Minister.

Ordered, That an Act be brought in on Wednesday next, touching Maintenance of a Minister in the Town of St. Albon's in Hertfordshire.

Yarmouth Ministers.

Ordered, That an Act be brought in on Wednesday next, touching Maintenance of Ministers in Yarmouth.

Waggoners.

The humble Petition of the Waggoners, was this Day read.-

Col. Clayton.

Ordered, That Colonel Clayton's Business be taken into Consideration on Wednesday next.-

Waggoners.

The Question being put, That there is Ground appearing to this House, to charge the Commonwealth with further Pay to the Waggoners for Service, or Loss of the Horses;

It passed with the Negative.

Irish Qualifications.

The House this Day resumed the Debate upon the Qualifications touching Ireland.

The Ninth Qualification was again read.

The Question being put, That the Words "real Estate and personal Estate" stand in this Qualification;

It passed with the Affirmative.

Resolved, That this Qualification be amended, as followeth; "That all and every Person and Persons having no real Estate in Ireland, nor personal Estate, to the Value of Ten Pounds, that shall lay down Arms, and submit to the Power and Authority of the Parliament, by the Time limited in the former Qualification, and shall take and subscribe the Engagement to be true and faithful to the Commonwealth of England, as the same is now established, within such time, and in such manner, as the Deputy General and Commissioners for the Parliament shall appoint and direct (such Persons not being excepted from Pardon, nor adjudged for Banishment, by any of the former Qualifications), shall be pardoned for Life and Estate, for any Act or Thing by them .... in Prosecution of the War."

Primers.

Resolved, That all Primers, formerly used in the Time of Kingship in this Nation, be suppressed; and shall from henceforth be no further used in any School, either publick or private, within this Commonwealth.

Killing Deer.

An Act prohibiting killing, hurting, or taking away Deer, after the First of August 1651, without Consent of the Owner, was this Day read the First and Second time.

Resolved, That this Act be amended; and made "one or more credible Witnesses," instead of "Two sufficient Witnesses."

Resolved, That the Prosecution shall be within Three Months after the Offence done.

Resolved, That, next after the Words "Justices of Peace," these Words be added; viz. "who are hereby impowered to administer an Oath to that Purpose."

Resolved, That, instead of these Words, "punished by virtue of this Order," the Act be amended, and made "punishable by force of this Act."

Resolved, That, after the Word "Owner," these Words; viz. "or the Person chiefly intrusted with the Custody," be added in this Act.

Resolved, That these Words be added; viz. "or other inclosed Ground."

Resolved, That these Words be added; viz. "by this present Parliament, and by Authority of the same."

Resolved, That the Penalty be Fifteen Pounds.

The Question being put, that the Bill be Committed;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That this Bill be Ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

The said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed: And

It is Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published.
