Wednesday, the 23d of July, 1651.

Prayers.

Pym's Grant.

RESOLVED, by the Parliament, That Leave be given to speak against the Order of the Seventeenth of June 1651; whereby the Commissioners for Compounding be authorized to take off the Seizure from the Estate of Thomas Morgan, of Heyford in the County of Northampton, Esquire, and of John Preston Esquire; and that they suffer the Trustees, to whom those Estates were granted by Parliament for Payment of the Debts of John Pym Esquire, deceased, and providing Portions, to take and receive the Rents, Issues, and Profits thereof, for the Uses, and according to the Trusts, directed by the Parliament in that Behalf; and also against another Vote then passed, touching the said Business.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners for Compounding, to take the Accompts of the Trustees, to whom the Estates of Thomas Morgan, of Heyford in the County of Northampton, Esquire, and John Preston, of Furnes in the County of Lancaster, Esquire, were granted by Parliament for Payment of the Debts of Mr. Pym, and providing Portions; and ascertain how much hath been received out of the said Estates upon the said Trusts, notwithstanding the former Order of the Seventeenth of June last: And, in case they shall find, that the said Trustees have not received so much Monies as was intended by the Parliament upon the said Trusts, but that there doth yet remain any Part thereof behind and unraised, that then the said Commissioners for Compounding do give Order, That the Arrears in the Hands of the Commissioners for Sequestrations in each County, and received by them, or any of them, out of the said Estates, or in the Hands of the several Tenants, be paid unto the said Trustees, upon the Trusts aforesaid: And also, that then also the said Trustees shall take and receive the Rents, Issues, and Profits thereof, for the Uses, and according to the Trusts directed by Parliament, until they shall receive so much as by the Ordinance, whereby the Estate was vested in the said Trustees, was intended.

Col. Boothby.

Resolved, That the Committee, to whom the Petition of Colonel Boothby is referred, be revived: And that they be enjoined to sit, and to make a Report to the House, with all Speed: And that Mr. Stephens, Sir Henry Mildmay, and Mr. Strickland, do take care of it; and give the House an Account thereof.

Army Pay, &c.

Resolved, That the Additional Pay and Billet-money be continued for Three Months longer, from the Time the same was formerly ordered: And the Committee of the Army are to take care the same be paid accordingly.

General's Life Guard.

Resolved, That the Threescore Persons; viz. the Twenty Field Corporals, and the Forty more added to make up a Troop of Sixty, in the Nature of a Life Guard, be added to the Establishment, and have the Pay as a Life Guard to the General: And that the Committee of the Army do take care for the Payment, of them accordingly.

Baldock Market.

Ordered, That the Lords Commissioners for the Great Seal of England be authorized and required to give Warrant for a Writ of Ad quod damnum, touching a Market to be held at Baldock in the County of Hertford, upon Thursday in every Week: And if, upon the Return thereof, they shall find, that there will be no Damage thereby to the Places adjacent, that then Mr. Attorney General be authorized and required to prepare a Grant, in common Form, to be passed under the Great Seal of England, for the said Market to be held upon Thursday in every Week: And the Lords Commissioners for the Great Seal of England are authorized and required to pass the same under the said Great Seal accordingly.

Col. Gill.

Ordered, That the Report touching Colonel Gill be made This-day-sevennight, the first Business; nothing to intervene.

Grant to Wilcox.

Ordered, That the same Power be given to the Commissioners for Compounding, for Payment of the Sum of One thousand Pounds to Richard Wilcox, Auditor, his Executors, Administrators, and Assigns, as, by Order of the Lords and Commons, of the Two-and-twentieth of March 1647, was given to the Committee of Lords and Commons for Advance of Monies, sitting at Haberdashers Hall; and likewise as to such Discoverer and Discoverers as is mentioned in the said Order: And that the said Commissioners for Compounding do proceed therein, as the said Committee of Lords and Commons were, by the said Order, impowered to do.

Mr. Nelson.

Ordered, That the Report touching Mr. Nelson be made on Friday Morning next.

Ships.

Ordered, That the Report touching the Ships be made by Mr. Bond on Friday Morning next.

Major Wildman.

The humble Petition of Major John Wildman, was this Day read.

Probate of Wills.

Ordered, That Mr. Stephens do make the Report of the Amendments to the Bill for Probate of Wills, on Friday next, the first Business.

Moore's Accompts.

The humble Petition of Richard Worsley, Administrator of Colonel John Moore, with the Will of the said Colonel John Moore annexed, on the Behalf of the Children of the said Colonel, was this Day read.

Ordered, That the Committee of Accompts at Worcester House be, and are hereby, impowered and authorized to state the Accompts of Colonel John Moore, deceased, for all his Services in England, upon Examination of Witnesses upon Oath for Proof of the said Accompts, notwithstanding the Death of the said Colonel Moore.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Deputy General of Ireland, and the Commissioners for the Parliament in Ireland, to direct the Accompts of Colonel John Moore, deceased, for his Service done in Ireland, to be taken and stated; and to give Order for the Payment of what shall appear to be due, upon the said Accompts, unto the Administrator of the said Colonel John Moore, to be employed according to his Will: And that the Acquittance and Acquittances of the said Administrator shall be a sufficient Discharge for the same.

Ordered, That, out of such Monies as have been brought into the Treasury of Haberdashers Hall upon the Discovery of Colonel John Moore, deceased, there be paid out unto Richard Worsley, Administrator of the said Colonel John Moore, such Proportions as were granted, by Order of this House, to the said Colonel Moore, out of such Discoveries, as he should make, towards Satisfaction of the Arrears due to the said Colonel John Moore: And that the Commissioners for Compounding do issue Warrants to the Treasurers for Payment thereof accordingly: And that the Acquittance and Acquittances of the said Richard Worsley, the Administrator, shall be a sufficient Discharge for the same.
