Sir T. Williams.

THE humble Petition of Sir Trevor Williams Baronet, was this Day read.

Ordered, That Sir Trevor Williams Baronet, be discharged of and from Sequestration, for or by reason of any Act of Delinquency done by him, before October 1645: And that the Committee of Goldsmiths Hall, and all other Committees of Sequestrations, in the several Counties, and their Agents, be required to take notice hereof, and yield Obedience thereunto.

Thornehagh's Arrears.

Mr. Millington reports from the Committee of Nottingham, an Accompt of the Arrears of Colonel Francis Thornehagh, before he came into the Establishment of the Army, stated by the Committee for the County of Nottingham, the last Day of March 1649: Which was this Day read.

A Certificate from the Committee of the Army, dated 25 Maii 1649, for One hundred ninety Pounds due to Francis Thornehaugh, as Colonel and Captain of Horse, under the Command of his Excellency Thomas Lord Fairefax, as appeareth by the Accompt stated by the Treasurers at Wars, and One hundred Forty Pounds Eight Shillings due to him upon the Publick Faith: Which were both likewise read.

Ordered, That the Accompt of Colonel Francis Thornhaugh, certified by the Committee for the County of Nottingham, the last Day of March 1649, be specially referred to the Committee of Accompts at Worcester House; to state the said Accompt, according to the Rules given to them; and to dispatch the same with all Speed.

Feilder's Claims.

The humble Petition of Colonel John Feilder, was this Day read.

The Accompt of Colonel John Feilder, of his Demands for his Pay, as Colonel and Captain of Foot, and Captain of a Troop of Horse, stated by the Committee of Accompts at Worcester House, was this Day read.

Ordered, That this House doth approve of the Sum of Nine hundred Thirty-seven Pounds Seven Shillings and One Peny, appearing by the said Accompt to be due to Colonel John Feilder; and doth allow the same as a Debt due to him from the State.

Ordered, That this House doth likewise allow of the Sum of Two hundred Eleven Pounds Four Shillings to be due to Colonel John Feilder, as a Debt due to him from the State.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider how the said Sums of Nine hundred Thirty-seven Pounds Seven Shillings and One Peny, and Two hundred Eleven Pounds Four Shillings, may be paid and satisfied to Colonel John Feilder: And that the same Committee do likewise consider of an Allowance to be made to Colonel Feilder, as Governor of Portsmouth, during the time he was Governor there: Viz. unto Colonel Morley, Mr. Love, Lord Commissioner Lysle, Sir Peter Wentworth, Sir Wm. Masham, Colonel Marten, Mr. Darley, Sir John Danvers, Mr. Allen, Mr. Skynner, Sir John Trevor; Colonel Venn, Mr. Dixwell, Mr. Nelthorpe, Mr. Hallowes, Mr. Browne, Mr. Garland, Colonel Rich, Lord Commissioner Whitlock, Sir Wm. Strickland, Mr. Raughleigh; or any Five of them: And this Committee is to meet on Monday in the Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber.

Temple's Accompts.

The humble Petition of Peter Temple Esquire, a Member of this House, was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the County of Leicester, to state the Accompts of the said Peter Temple; and to consider of, and examine his Losses, by reason of his Service to the Parliament; and report it to the House.

Ordered, That the Sum of Fifteen hundred Pounds be paid unto the said Mr. Peter Temple, upon Account, out of the Sequestrations in that County: And that the Committee for Sequestrations in that County, and their Treasurers, be authorized and required forthwith to make Payment thereof to him, or his Assigns, out of the same, accordingly.

Revolted Seamen.

Ordered, That the Act for revolted Seamen be brought in on Monday Morning next.

Scandalous Pamphlets.

Ordered, That the Act touching scandalous Pamphlets be brought in on Monday Morning next.

Late King's Creditors.

Ordered, That the . . . . . . Committee of the Navy, concerning the State of the Case between the Creditors of the late King, and Sir Allen Apsley Knight, be made on Tuesday Morning, the First Business; nothing to intervene.

Prisoners at Plymouth.

Mr. Holland reports from the Council of State, a Letter from the Mayor of Plymouth, of the Twelfth of July 1649: Which was this Day read.

Ordered, That Colonel Wm. Legge, now Prisoner in Plymouth, be forthwith removed and committed, by Order of this House, to the Gaol of Exeter, for High Treason: And that Sir Hardres Waller be required to take Order for the safe Conveying of him thither.

Ordered, That Sir Hugh Windham, now Prisoner in Plymouth, be forthwith removed, and committed, by Order of this House, Prisoner to Pendennis Castle, in Cornwall, for High Treason.

Ordered, That Anthony Kempson, now Prisoner in Plymouth, be removed, and committed Prisoner to the Gaol of Ilchester in the County of Somerset, for High Treason.

Ordered, That Jo. Jacob Gentleman, now Prisoner in Plymouth, be thence removed, and committed, by Order of this House, to the Prison of Dorchester in Com' Dorsett, for High Treason.

Ordered, That Sir Hardres Waller be required to take Order for the safe Convoy of the several Prisoners aforesaid unto the several Prisons.

Transporting Felons.

An Act touching Transportation of Felons and Prisoners beyond Sea was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Corbett, Mr. Garland, Mr. Browne, Colonel Morley, Alderman Atkins, Mr. Holland, Mr. Lister, Captain Skinner, Mr. Allen, Colonel Hutchinson, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Ralegh, Mr. Stephens; or any Three of them: And this Committee are to meet this Afternoon at Two of Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber; and to bring it in on Monday Morning.

Council of State.

Mr. Holland likewise reports from the Council of State, the Opinion of that Council, That it be reported to the House, That, in pursuance of the Power already given to this Council, concerning Foreign Embassies and Agencies, and also concerning the Promoting of Plantations, that the Council may be also enabled to give Warrant to the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal to affix the Seal to such Commissions, Patents, and other Instruments, as they shall judge necessary, for the Execution and Discharge of the Trust that is committed to them in those Two Particulars: And that Mr. Holland be desired to make this Report.

Resolved, &c. That the Matter of this Report be taken into Consideration on This-day-sevennight.

Late King's Seals, &c.

Mr. Holland reports from the Council of State, That the Seals belonging to the late King, now in the Custody of Mr. Browne, be delivered unto Mr. Holland, to be by him presented unto the House, to know what they will please to order concerning them.

Resolved, &c. That these Seals be brought into the House on Monday next, to be defaced.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to take care of the several Papers and Letters in the Custody of Mr. Baker; and dispose of them for the best Benefit of the Commonwealth: And that the Committee to whom the Consideration of those Papers and Letters was referred, do deliver the said Letters and Papers to such Person or Persons as the Council of State shall appoint to receive the same.

Imprisoned Members.

Ordered, That the Report concerning the imprisoned Members be made on Wednesday next.

Hospitals.

Ordered, That it be referred to the former Committee for the Bill touching regulating Hospitals to bring in a Bill for regulating Hospitals; and to receive the particular Complaints of Hospitals; and to examine the Truth of them: And Colonel Morley, Mr. Corbett, Mr. Ralegh, Mr. Garland, Captain Skinner, Sir Wm. Masham, Sir Henry Mildmay, Mr. John Goodwyn, Mr. Peirepoint, Mr. Stephens, and Colonel Downes, be added to the former Committee: And all that come to have Voices: And the Committee are to meet on Monday at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber; and to bring in the Bill on Wednesday Morning.

Corporations.

Ordered, That Mr. Garland do, on Thursday next, report the Act touching Election of Officers in all Corporations.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee where Mr. Garland hath the Chair, to consider of the Alterations to be made in the Oaths to be administred to Persons in Offices of Trust, in the several Corporations; and to bring in the Form of such Oaths into the House.

Ordered, That Mr. Weaver do withdraw, and pen an Act upon the Debate of the House.

Irish Officers.

Colonel Venne reports from the Committee of the Army, their Opinion upon the Letter of the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland: And an Act for the better stating the Accompts of the General and Staff Officers which are engaged for Ireland.
