Preacher appointed.

ORDERED, That Mr. Carter be desired to preach before the Commons, at Marg aet's, Westminster, the next Day of Publick Humiliation.

Ordered, That Mr. Greenhill be desired to preach before the Commons at Margaret's, Westminster, the next Day of Publick *.

Mr. Hodges is desired to give Notice hereof.

Circuits.

Mr. Lysle reports a Paper of the Judges, to go the several Circuits, for the next Lent Assizes: Which was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Lord Chief Justice Rolle do go the Norfolk Circuit, &c.

The Lord Chief Justice St. John the Midland Circuit, Northampton, &c.

The Lord Chief Baron, the Western Circuit, &c.

Mr. Justice Phesant, Kent Circuit, &c.

Mr. Justice Jermyn, Oxfordshire Circuit, &c.

Mr. Baron Gates, and Mr. Serjeant Puliston, for the Yorkshire Circuit.

Ordered, That the Commissioners for the Great Seal of England, be hereby authorized and required to send the several Patents to the Sheriffs of the several Counties; and require them to execute their several and respective Offices, in their several Counties, accordingly.

Mr. Lysle reports an Act for altering the Stile of the late Court of King's Bench, to be stiled from henceforth the Upper Bench; and for settling and establishing the Jurisdiction of the said Court; and for constituting Serjeant Roll Chief Justice of the said Court, and Serjeant Jermyn one of the Justices of the said Court; was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed.

The Form of the Writ Patent for Henry Roll Serjeant at Law, to be Chief Justice of the Pleas to be held in the Upper Bench, with these Words, "Coram nobis, &c." was read; and, upon the Question, passed.

A Form of a Writ Patent for Philip Jermyn, Serjeant at Law, to be one of the Justices of the said Upper Bench, with some Amendments, was read; and, upon the Question, passed.

Justices of Peace.

Ordered, That Sir Henry Vane senior, Sir Arthur Hesilrige, and Mr. Blakiston, do present to the Commissioners of the Great Seal the Names of fit Persons to be Justices of the Peace for the County of Duresme, &c.

And these Gentlemen have Power to confer with other Northern Gentlemen, as they shall think fit, therein.

Navy.

Colonel Wauton reports from the Committee of the Navy, Colonel Deane, Colonel Blake, and Colonel Edward Popham, for Commissioners to go to Sea in the next Summer's Fleet.

Resolved, &c. That Colonel Edward Popham be appointed to be one of the Commissioners to go to Sea in the next Summer's Fleet.

Resolved, &c. That Colonel Edward Blake be appointed to be one of the Commissioners in the next Summer's Fleet.

Resolved, &c. That Colonel Richard Deane be appointed to be one of the Commissioners to go to Sea in the next Summer's Fleet.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to bring in Instructions for the said Commissioners; and to consider of Allowances for the said Commissioners, what will be fit for the Benefit of the Publick, in reference to this Business: And report it to the House on Wednesday next.

Committees.

Ordered, That no Committee of the House do sit in the Morning after Nine of Clock: And that the House be injoined to meet every Day, at Nine of the Clock in the Morning.

Delinquents.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Act touching Delinquents, is committed, be injoined to meet this Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber: And that all the Members that come to this Committee shall have Voices: And the Committee is to report speedily to the House.

Earl of Holland.

The Petition of the Countess of Holland was this Day read; as also a Certificate from James Cooke, a Surgeon, And a Letter from the Physician to the Earl of Warwick was this Day read.

Ordered, That the said Petition, Certificate, and Letter, touching the Earl of Holland, be wholly referred to the Consideration of the High Court of Justice.

Navy Committee.

Ordered, That Colonel Blake and Mr. Popham be added to the Committee of the Navy.

Kent.

Ordered, That the Business for Kent be taken up, the first Business, To-morrow Morning.
