Secretary of State.
ORDERED, That Thomas Scot Esquire, a Member of Parliament, be, and is hereby nominated and appointed to take care of all Papers; and to receive Informations of private and publick Intelligence, as the Secretary of State heretofore had and used; and present them to the Council of State.
Charges against Members.
Ordered, That the Business touching Members of Parliament, against whom Matters are objected, be taken into Consideration on this Day Sevennight; nothing to intervene: And that Mr. Speaker do put the House in mind thereof.
Elections.
Mr. Garland reports from the Committee to whom it was referred to bring in Qualifications of Members to sit and serve in Parliament, A Bill, disabling Persons to elect, or be elected, to this present Parliament: Which was this Day read the First time.
Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning, the first Business.
The Engagement.
The House this Day resumed the Debate upon the Bill, touching the Engagement: And the said Bill was, upon the Question, committed unto Sir Arthur Hesilrig, Mr. Scot, Mr. Tho.
