ORDERED, That the Petition of Richard Williams and Margaret his Wife, on the Behalf of themselves, and Mary Lloyd and Katherine Lloyd, Daughters and Coheirs of Walter Lloyd, deceased, be referred to the Committee where the Lord Chief Baron hath the Chair.
Sheeres' Petition.
The humble Petition of Henry Sheeres was this Day read.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Lord Mayor of London, and Justices, at the Sessions in the Old Bailey; and they are hereby impowered and required to keep Wm. Barret, Mariner, charged with the Murdering of Captain Peter Pelly, in Prison, until the Parliament take further Order, in order to his Trial.
Spalding, &c. Petition.
The humble Petition of the Lords, Freeholders, Owners, and Inhabitants of Spalding, Pinchbeck, Croyland, Market-Deeping, James Deeping, West Deeping, Uffington cum Caswick, Barholme, Stowe, Tallington, and Baston, within the County of Lyncolne, was this Day read.

Petition from Sussex.
The House being informed, that divers Gentlemen, Ministers of the Gospel, and others, were at the Door;
They were called in: And one of the Petitioners humbly addressing himself to the Chair, said, "I am desired by many well-affected to this present Government, to present their humble Petition to this honourable House:" Which, after the Petitioners were withdrawn, was read; and was intituled, "The humble Petition of divers Justices of the Peace, Gentlemen, Ministers of the Gospel, Freeholders, and other considerable Inhabitants in the County of Sussex, both of the East and West."
Resolved, That the Petitioners have the Thanks of this House.
The Petitioners were again called in; and Mr. Speaker gave them this Answer;
"Gentlemen,"
"The House have read your Petition; and have likewise considered of your Desires: They are Things of Weight, and deserve Consideration; and they will in due Time take such Things into Consideration which shall be best for the Commonwealth: And they find Expressions of very good Affections in your Petition: And for your good Affections and Expressions I am commanded to give you Thanks: And in their Names I do give you their hearty Thanks."
Ogle's Petition.
The humble Petition of Henry Ogle, of Eglingham in the County of Northumberland, Esquire, was this Day read.
Ordered, That this Petition be referred to a Committee; to examine the Matter of Fact; and offer to this House what is necessary to be done in Cases of the like Nature: And if they find Cause, that they report it speedily to this House, for his Release out of Prison; and that he have free Liberty to go and come to prosecute his Business in the mean time.

East India Company.
A Bill for an Act for Repaymant of Fifteen thousand Pounds, advanced by the East India Company, was this Day read the First and Second time.
Resolved, That these Words; viz. "A Bill for an" be omitted: That the Word "House" be made "Parliament:" And that instead of the Word "next," these Words, viz. "One thousand Six hundred Fifty-nine," be inserted.
The said Bill was read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed.
Army Pay, &c.
Mr. Scot reports from the Council of State, that the Council of State do, from time to time, give Order to the Committee for the Army, concerning Allowances of Pay to be made out of the Assessments, and all other Monies that are or shall be raised, or appointed for the Use of the Armies and Land-Forces of this Commonwealth, and contingent Charges thereof; and for the Ordering, Issuing forth, Disposing, and Proportioning of the said Monies, for the Purposes aforesaid, as they shall see Cause: And that the Committee for the Army, Receiver-General, Treasurers at War, do observe such Orders as shall be therein given by the Parliament, or Council of State, accordingly.

Sir Henry Vane reports from the Council of State, a Form of the Ratification of the Treaty at the Hague: Which was read and is as followeth;

Ordered, That the Commissioners for the Custody of the Great Seal, or either of them, be, and are authorized to seal such Commissions, Credentials, and other publick Instruments to the Plenipotentiaries, and other publick Ministers, as shall be signed by the Speaker of the Parliament.
Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Council of State, that Mr. Downing have Credentials from the Parliament, unto the States-General, and the Provinces of Holland, as to the Ratification of that Treaty, and the Business of the Sound.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do sign the said Credentials.
