Privilege.
THE House being informed, that Wm. Pease was attending the House, in Custody, for arresting Edward Ruddock, Servant to Captain Mason, a Member of this House;
He was brought in to the Bar: Where he acknowleged, he caused him to be arrested; and saith, He was sorry for doing of it: If he had known it would have been Wrong to any Member, he would not have done it.
And then withdrew.
The humble Petition of William Pease was this Day read.
Resolved, That the said William Pease, paying his Charges Edward Ruddock was put unto by reason of the Arrest; and paying his Fees; and attending Captain Mason, when he comes to Town, and making his Submission to him; be discharged of his Imprisonment.
Resolved, That the Bailiff be also discharged.
Blackwell's Estate.
A Bill for Establishing of several Lands in the Counties of Dublyn and Kildare in Ireland upon John Blackwell, the younger, Esquire, and his Heirs; and for Confirmation of Letters Patents to him made; was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to Major General Goff, Mr. Robinson, Lord Broghill, Mr. Highland, Major General Kelsey, Sir Wm. Strickland, Colonel Markham, Major General Haines, Lord Strickland, Mr. Bond, Colonel Gorges, Dr. Clarges, Sir John Reynolds, Sir Christofer Pack, Alderman Foote, Captain Scotten, Colonel Bennett, Colonel Hawksworth, Colonel Rows, Major General Packer, Colonel Theo. Jones, Major Audley, Colonel Carter, Mr. Godfrey, Colonel Cooper, Lord Commissioner Whitelock, Master of the Rolls, Mr. Grove, Mr. Thistlethwaite, Mr. Downing, Mr. West, Mr. Pickering, Mr. Pitts, Major General Berry, Mr. Aldworth, Colonel Fitz-James, Major General Howard, Captain Maidston, Mr. Bisse, Alderman Tigh, Mr. Margetts, Major Beake, Mr. Rolls, Mr. Bancks, Mr. Windham, Mr. Clark, Mr. Gookin, Mr. Buller: And are to meet To morrow, at Two of Clock in the Afternoon, in the Inner Court of Wards.
Call of the House.
The House, according to former Order, did this Day proceed to call the House: And every Member present, as he was called, stood up, and answered to his Name.
The Defaulters were again called; and such as are absent, upon Leave, or Sickness, or were, upon Reasons now shewed, were excused: An Entry was made to their several Names, accordingly.
The Question being put; That Mr. Peyto be excused;
The House was divided.

So it passed in the Negative.
Resolved. That the Time, to be given to the Members, so making Default, shall be Fourteen Days.
Resolved, That the Fine shall be Twenty Pounds.
Resolved, That such Members, as have this Day made Default of their Appearance, and shall not appear this Day Fortnight, be fined Twenty Pounds apiece.
Resolved, That each Member, so making Default, shall pay the said Twenty Pounds into the Hands of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, before they be admitted into the House.
Resolved, That the Names of the Persons now making Default be called over again on this Day Fortnight.
Newport Minister.
Ordered, That the Committee, to whom the Bill for raising Maintenance for a Minister of Newport, to sit this Afternoon at Two of Clock: And that Colonel Bingham, Mr. Trenchard, Colonel Coke, and Mr. Lucy, be added to that Committee.
Irish Affairs.
Ordered, That Colonel Zankey be added to the Committee for Irish Affairs.
