Scotch Affairs.

ORDERED, That Colonel Michell, Colonel Winthrop, Sir Alexander Wedderborne, * Douglass, Mr. Lockhart, be added to the Committee for the Affairs of Scotland.

Renouncing Right of Car. II.

Mr. Carey reports from the Committee, That they have compared the ingrossed Bill for Renouncing and Disannulling the pretended Title of Charles Stuart, &c. with the Paper-Book, and Amendments; and that the same doth agree.

The Bill, intituled, An Act for Renouncing and Disannulling the pretended Title of Charles Stuart, &c. was now read the Third time.

Some Words, ingrossed in Parchment, were tendered to this Bill; viz. "King or Queen of Great Britain," to be inserted in the Twelfth Line, next after the Words, "Dignity of:" Which were read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Third time.

And was read the Third time, accordingly: And likewise, upon the Question, were ordered to be Part of the Bill.

The same Words, viz. " King or Queen of Great Britain," were tendered in another Parchment, to be added in the Twenty-sixth Line, after the Words, " Dignity of:" Which were read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, were read the Third time; and, upon Question, ordered to be Part of the Bill.

Some other Words were tendered, ingrossed in Parchment, to this Bill, to be added after the Word, "enjoy," in the Fifteenth Line; viz. "as King or Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland, or of either, or any of them; Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Albany, Duke of Rothesay, Duke of York, Duke of Gloucester, or Prince of Scotland:" Which were read the First and Second time.

Resolved, That the same be read the Third time.

And the same was read the Third time, accordingly; and, upon the Question, ordered to be added, and made Part of this Bill.

These Words were tendered, in Parchment, to be added to this Bill, in the Twenty-eighth Line, next after the Words, "or Right," viz. "as King or Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland, or of either or any of them; Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Albany, Duke of Rothesay, Duke of York, Duke of Gloucester, or Prince of Scotland."

These Words, ingrossed in Parchment, were tendered to be added to the Bill, in the Thirteenth Line, after the Word "Cornwall," viz. "Prince of Scotland, Duke of Albany, Duke of Rothesay:" Which were read the First and Second time.

Resolved, That the same be read the Third time.

And the same were read the Third time, accordingly; and, upon the Question, ordered to be Part of the Bill.

These Words, ingrossed in Parchment, were tendered to this Bill, to be added in Line Twenty-seventh, next after the Word "belonging," viz. "Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Prince of Scotland, Duke of Albany, Duke of Rothesay, Duke of York, or Duke of Gloucester:" Which were read the First and Second time.

Resolved, That the same be read the Third time:

The same were read the Third time, accordingly; and, upon the Question, ordered to be added, and made Part of the Bill.

The Question being put, Whether the Words, "for Three Years," in the last Line, save one, of the Bill, do stand;

It passed in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That a Proviso be prepared to be added to this Bill, That the Passing of this Act shall not determine this Session;

It passed in the Negative.

And the Bill, with the several Amendments aforesaid, was, upon the Question, passed Nemine contradicente.

Resolved, That his Highness the Lord Protector's Assent be desired to this Bill.

Way to address his Highness.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to consider of the Way of Address to his Highness, with Bills; and to offer their Opinion therein to the House: Viz.
