Saturday, the 27th of November, 1652.

Prayers.

Navy and Army.

SIR Henry Vane reports an Estimate of the Charge of the Navy and Land Forces of the Parliament in England, Scotland, and Ireland; and of the publick Stores, incident and contingent Charges; viz. For the Navy, for Fourteen Months, at Twenty-eight Days each Month, from the Third of November 1652, to the First of December 1653: For the Land-Forces for One Year, conssiting of Thirteen Months, as aforesaid, from the 25th of December 1652, to the 25th of December 1653: As also of what Monies may probably, within the said Time, be received, in the several Treasuries of this Commonwealth: Which was this Day read.

Publick Revenue.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to have the Inspection into all the publick Treasuries and Receipts; and also into the several Sales of the Lands, upon the First, Second, and Third Act for Sale of Delinquents Estates: and likewise to consider of the One hundred thousand Pounds to be borrowed on the Remainder of the Lands exposed to Sale by the first Act, for quickening the Sale, and bringing in of ready Money upon the same for the publick Service; and report their Opinion to the House.

Weavers-Hall Bills.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee, to take into Consideration the State of the Monies due upon Weaver's-Hall Bills; and confer with the Persons concerned, how the same may be put upon such other sit Security as may give them Satisfaction; to the End the Excise may be clear for the publick Service; and report their Opinion therein to the House.

State Lands.

Resolved, That Hyde-Park be sold for ready Money.

Resolved, That Enfield-Chase be likewise sold for ready Money.

Resolved, That Hampton-Court, together with BushyPark, and the other Two Parks, Hare-Warren, and Meadows there, with the Appurtenances belonging to the State there, be sold for ready Money.

Resolved, That all the Houses, Parks, and Lands at Greenwich, that belong to the State there, be likewise sold for ready Money.

Resolved, That the Castle of Windsore, with all the Houses, Parks, and Lands there, belonging to the State, be sold for ready Money.

The Question being propounded, That Somerset House be sold for ready Money.

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

So it passed with the Negative.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee, to consider, how the Particulars before voted to be sold, may be Security for ready Money; and to bring in a Bill for that Purpose, and the Sale thereof; viz. Sir Henry Vane senior, Alderman Allein, Lord General, Colonel Fielder, Mr. Gurdon, Colonel Sidney, Colonel Thompson, Mr. Nelthorp, Sir James Harrington, Mr. Scott, Sir Gilbert Pickering, Mr. Bond, Mr. Millington, Colonel Marten, Mr. Corbett, Sir Wm. Armyn, Mr. Solicitor, Sir Henry Vane junior, Mr. Attorney-General, Colonel Birch, Mr. Strickland, Mr. Trenchard, Mr. Holland, Colonel Lister, Sir Henry Mildmay, Mr. Boone, Sir Michael Lievesey, Major Marten, Mr. Ralegh, Colonel Morley, Mr. Aldworth, Mr. Edwards, Colonel Sidenham Mr. Garland, Mr. Hallowes, Mr. John Stephens; or any Five of them: And are to meet on Tuesday next, at Two of Clock in the Afternoon, in the Duchy-Court: And Mr. Solicitor and Mr. John Stephens, are to take care of it.

Ordered, That the Bill touching the Treasuries, formerly committed, be committed to this Committee.

Ordered, That the Committee have Power to consult of, and give Order for, the Surveying of the Particulars aforesaid, in order to the more effectual and speedy Sale thereof, for the best Advantage of the State.

The House, according to former Order, adjourned itself to Tuesday Morning next, Eight of Clock.
