Wednesday, the 1st of September, 1652.

Prayers.

Wright, &c. pardoned.

THE Certificate of Justice Warburton, concerning the Evidence given against Mildred Wright, and Anne Wilson, made according to Order of Parliament of the 4th of August 1652, was this Day read.

Ordered, by the Parliament, That Mildred Wright be pardoned of all the several Felonies, Murders, and Witchcrafts, whereof she was convicted at the last General GaolDelivery, holden for the County of Kent; and that the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery do prepare a Pardon for the Pardoning of her, accordingly; and that the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal of England do pass the same under the Great Seal of England; and that Execution be stayed in the mean time; and that the Sheriff do forbear to do Execution, accordingly.

Ordered, That Anne Wilson be pardoned of all the several Felonies, Murders, and Witchcrafts, whereof she was convicted at the last General Gaol-Delivery, holden for the County of Kent; and that the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery do prepare a Pardon for the Pardoning of her accordingly; and that the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal of England do pass the same, under the Great Seal of England; and that Execution be stayed in the mean time; and that the Sheriff do forbear to do Execution, accordingly.

Pickenden's Reprieve.

The Question being put, That the Reprieve of Susan Pickenden do stand any longer;

It passed with the Negative.

Publick Fast.

Mr. Scott reports Amendments to the Act for Setting apart the Day of for a Day of Publick Fasting and Humiliation: Which were this Day twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

The said Act was now read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Day be the 13th of October next.

The Question be . . . put, That this Bill, so amended, be ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed.

Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published; and that a usual Number of them be printed, to be sent into the several Counties.

Ordered, That Mr. Thomas Goodwynn be desired to assist in carrying on the Exercises of the Day, before the Parliament, on Wednesday the 13th of October next, at Margarett's Westminster, being a Day set apart for publick Fasting and Humiliation; and that Colonel Purefoy give him Notice hereof.

Ordered, That Mr. Owen be desired to assist in carrying on the Exercises of the Day, before the Parliament, on Wednesday the 13th of October next, at Margarett's Westminster, being a Day set apart for publick Fasting and Humiliation; and that Sir Henry Mildmay do give him Notice hereof.

Ordered, That there be a Third Person appointed to Exercise on the said Day, before the Parliament, at Margarett's Westminster.

Ordered, That Mr. Feake be desired to assist in the carrying on of the Exercises of the Day, before the Parliament, on Wednesday, the 13th of October next, at Margarett's Westminster, being a Day set apart for publick Fasting and Humiliation; and that Major-General Harrison do give him Notice hereof.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal of England, or any one of them, to take care, that the said Act be sent into the respective Counties of this Commonwealth, and published on the several Market-Days, in the respective Market Towns, in the several Counties of this Commonwealth, in convenient time.

Fee-farm Rents.

Ordered, That the Bill for Sale of Fee-farm Rents be read To-morrow Morning.

Recalling Seamen.

A Bill enjoining all English Mariners and Seamen, belonging to this Commonwealth, to make their Repair Home, was this Day read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time, Tomorrow Morning, the first Business.
