Thursday, the 2d of September, 1652.

Prayers.

Thanksgiving Day.

ORDERED, That the Parliament do meet Tomorrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock, in the Abbey Church in Westminster, to give Thanks to Almighty God for many Mercies; and in particular for the Great Victories vouchsafed unto their Forces at Worcester, on the 3d Day of September 1651; and at Dunbarre, on the 3d Day of September 1650: And that Mr. Strong be desired to preach then, before the Parliament, and that Sir John Trevor do acquaint Mr. Stronge therewith.

Adjournment.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker, at the Rising of the House, do adjourn to Tuesday Morning next.

Recalling Seamen.

A Bill for Calling Home English Mariners and Seamen, from serving Foreign States and Princes, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee of the Navy: And that it be brought in again on Tuesday Morning next.

Irish Affairs.

An Act giving several Powers to several Persons constituted Commissioners for managing the Affairs of Ireland, and for repealing of the Powers of the former Commissioners, was this Day read the Second time.

Ordered, That the Blanks be filled up with the 20th of September 1652.

Ordered, That the Name of Oliver Cromwell, Captain General of the Forces raised by Authority of Parliament, be inserted into this Bill, for one of the Commissioners.

The Question being put, That this Act, so amended, be ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Act, being put to the Question, passed.

Resolved, That such of the Commissioners for manageing of the Affairs in Ireland, who had Salaries formerly, have the same Salaries continued unto them; and that, from the 25th of December next, they be paid their Salaries out of the Revenues in Ireland.

Late King's Lands, &c.

Ordered, That the Trustees and Contractors for Sale of the Lands of the late King, Queen, and Prince, be required to forbear to sell or convey the Islands of Scilly, or any Part thereof, or any Lands, Tenements, or Hereditaments therein, heretofore belonging to the said late King, Queen, or Prince.

Ordered, That the said Trustees and Contractors be required to forbear to sell or convey any the Lands belonging to Chatham Dock.

Ordered, That the Trustees and Contractors be required to forbear to sell or convey any of the Lodges belonging to the several Forests, and which have been used as Forest Lodges, together with the particular Grounds which have been inclosed about such Lodges, for the Use of the Keeper or Ranger of such Forests, until the Parliament take further Order: And that it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to consider of what other things, that are now exposed to Sale by the said Contractors, are not by the Act to be sold, or are necessary to be made use of for the Service of the State; and report the same to the Parliament.
