Sir Walter Erle brings Answer from the Lords, That the Lords do agree to the Ordinance concerning the Government of Bristoll: The Vote for Mr. Browne's Six hundred Pounds: The Vote for Relief of the Widow Bridges: To the Ordinance concerning the Isle of Wight: To the Ordinance for the College of Westminster: To the Vote for Payment of Interest to the Executors of Nicolas Cholmely: And as to the Vote for Colonel Williams to be Governor of Monmouth; the Ordinance concerning such as come out of the King's Quarters; and the Ordinance for Discharge of the Fine and Rent for Mr. Penn's Wardship; they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.
A Message from the Lords, by Doctor Aylett and Doctor Heath;
The Lords have commanded us to recommend unto you a Petition of Major Graye's Brother: Major Gray is a Gentleman who hath done very good Service: It was formerly sent to this House; and they do desire it may be taken into Consideration. The Lords did formerly send down a Vote for Colonel Barrowe to be Governor of Barklay-Castle, wherein there was an Omission: And they do desire, that the Committee of both Kingdoms may give a Commission. The Lords have long since, upon a Report to them from the Committee of the West, did recommend unto them, That Captain Hutchins should be paid what is due to him by the Committee of the Navy; and, having received no Answer, the Lords do earnestly recommend the Person who hath deserved so very well by his faithful Service unto the State; his whole Livelihood consisting herein, and a general Cry of the Seamen thereupon.
Answer returned by the same Messengers;
The House hath considered your Message; and will send Answer by Messengers of their own.
