CORNWALL. Inq. taken at Lostwythyel, [Monday] the feast of St Matthias, 22 Richard II.
The under-mentioned two-thirds of a manor and advowson came to the king’s hands by the death of Thomas and the minority of William.
Kalylond. Two-thirds of the manor, held of John Holand, duke of Exeter, by knight’s service as of his castle of Tremyngton.
Southill. The advowson of the church, pertaining to the said manor.
William died on 6 April, 18 Richard II. Edmund, aged 20 years on 2 March last, is his brother and heir.

The under-mentioned lands, fees and advowsons came to the king’s hands as above.
Stafford. The castle (extent given, including a park) with the advowson of the chapel in the castle.
Bradley. The manor (extent given), with the advowson of the church and the members, to wit, Bilyngton, Wolaston, Shradicote, Longenorle, Stretton, Dunston, Copenhale and Castelfordbrugge, with the advowson of the hospital of St John the Baptist. The extent includes a marsh in Castelfordbrugg called le Spitelpole, a pasture there called Thevesdych, a rent of 6 barbed arrows, a view of frankpledge twice yearly at Castelfordbrugge and perquisites of courts held every three weeks.
Hyde. Two thirds of the manor (extent given).
Madeley under Lyme. The manor with the hamlet of Radewode (extent given, including a water-mill, a fulling-mill, a great park, a small park called Levereshede, a pasture called Netherstedehey, four fishponds, a view of frankpledge twice yearly and perquisites of courts held every three weeks).
Stone. The advowson of the priory.
Norton upon les Mores. The manor, with the hamlet of Crotton and 10 marks rent in Tillyngton, was granted to Nicholas de Stafford for life by Hugh late earl of Stafford with the licence of Edward III paying 4 marks yearly. Thomas late earl died seised of the said rent and the reversion belongs to his heirs.
The above are held of the king in chief, except the hamlet of Crotton and lands in Norton, which are held of lord de Audeley as of his manor of Endon, service unknown.
Stafford. A fishpool called Kyngespole with a water-mill, held of the king in chief by a fee-farm of 2 marks yearly by the hands of the sheriff.

Walshale. Land, wood and pasture called Cleyhongre, which Ralph Basset purchased of William Colesson, a carucate of land between the town of Walshale and the park, called le Wastes, which the said Ralph purchased of a certain man of Walshale, and land called le Conynger.
Drayton. The advowson of a chantry of five chaplains in the church to celebrate for the soul of the said Ralph de Basset and his heirs.
Walshale. Three parcels of land, containing a carucate and a half, purchased of William Colleson, Thomas Hexstall and John Hogyn.
The tenure of the last five items is unknown.
Drayton. 8 tofts, 2 carucates of land and 40a. wood called Jonesclos, which the said Ralph Basset purchased of John atte Lye, and a messuage which the said Ralph had by purchase of a neif of the manor of Drayton, held of the manor of Drayton Basset, service unknown.
Tameworth. A messuage which the said Ralph purchased of Margaret de Botery, tenure unknown.
Pakyngton. The reversion of the manor, which Thomas de Aston holds for life by demise of the said Ralph de Basset, tenure unknown.
Faresley. 10 messuages, which the said Ralph de Basset purchased of Ralph Smyth, held of the said manor of Drayton, service unknown.
Thomas late earl by his letters patent granted to Robert Mauvesyn, knight, 10l. yearly for life out of the profits of the castle and lordship of Stafford.

The under-mentioned manor, reversions, lands, knights’ fees, advowsons etc. came to the king’s hands as above.
Rothewell. The manor and hundred (extent given) with the advowson of the nunnery of St John the Baptist. The extent includes the farm of the free burgesses, a fair on Trinity Sunday, a wood and pleas of the court of the manor and of the hundred. Anne who was the wife of Thomas late earl has a yearly rent of 4l. 18s. 10 3/4d. out of the manor for life in dower.
Deneford, Aldewyncle, Thrapston, Wodeford, Wilwencotes, Luffewyk, Ryngstede, Raundes and Midelcotes. Two leets held at Deneford.
Little Adyngton, Thyngden, Burton, Craneford and Barton Segrave. Two leets held at Barton.

The reversion of the manor and of a toft and 2 virgates of land in Arthyngworth, 6 messuages, 6 virgates of land and 10a. wood in Horton and 3s. rent in Pedyngton and Haclyngton after the death of John Vyncent of Rothwell, who is still living, who holds them for life, the reversion belonging to Ralph Basset of Drayton last deceased and his heirs.
