Ordered, That Mr. Marshall be desired to preach before the Lords in Parliament, the 5th of November next.

Corbet and Hunt.

Ordered, That the Cause between Corbett and Hunt shall be heard on Wednesday next.

Hoyle and Towers.

Ordered, That (fn. 1) the Cause of the Writ of Error between Hoyle and Towers shall be argued, at this Bar, the First of November.

L. Howard excused.

The Lord Howard is excused for his Absence this Day.

Propositions for Peace.

The House went on in the Consideration of the Remainder of the Propositions.

And the Proposition concerning the Election of Officers, was agreed to. (Here enter it.)

Next, the Proposition concerning the Arrears of the Army, was agreed to, with an Alteration.

The Proposition concerning Religion, was read.

And some Alterations being made therein;

The Question being put, "Whether to agree to this Proposition, with the Alteration now read?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, To have a Conference this Afternoon with the House of Commons, at Three a Clock, to acquaint them what Propositions are agreed to, and what not, and give Reasons for their Dissent; and to acquaint them, that this House hath named a Committee Lords, to meet with a Committee of theirs, to put the Propositions agreed upon into Form, as they shall be presented to the King.

Message to the H. C. for a Conference about them.

And accordingly a Message was sent to the House of Commons, to desire a Conference, at Three a Clock this Afternoon, concerning the Propositions.

Aymes Ordinance, to be Minister of St. Olaves.

The Ordinance for making Mr. Aymes Minister of Olaves Southwarke, was read, and Agreed to.

Cox to be instituted to Kingston Seymour.

Ordered, That Doctor Aylett shall give Institution and Induction to Hugh Cox, to the Rectory of Kingston Seymour, in the County of Som'sett; presented thereunto by Wm. Bucks Gentleman, Patron: And this to be with a Salvo Jure cujuscunque.

Answer from the H. C.

Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page return with this Answer to the Message sent to the House of Commons:

(fn. 2) That they agree to the Desires of the Earl of Northumb. concerning the King's Children; and they agree to the Pass for Madam Sabran, and to the Order concerning Amarigo Salvetti: As concerning the Lady Moore, they have taken it into Consideration; and as to the Business concerning Penny, they will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Propositions to the King, for Peace.

"Resolved, &c.

"That this House doth agree with the Lords, in the Matter of the Ninth Paper to be now sent to the King, concerning Election of Officers, as it now runs; (videlicet,)

Concerning the Appointment of Great Officers, Judges, &c.

"That the Deputy, or Chief Governor, or other Governors, of Ireland, and the Presidents of the several Provinces of that Kingdom, be nominated and made in such Way as by both Houses of the Parliament of England shall be appointed, or, in the Intervals of Parliament, by such Committees as shall be appointed by both Houses of Parliament, to continue during the Pleasure of both Houses; and that the Chancellor, or Lord Keeper, Lord Treasurer, Commissioners of the Great Seal or Treasury, Lord High Admiral of England, Commissioners of the Admiralty, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, Chancellor of the Exchequer and Dutchy, Secretaries of State, Master of the Rolls, Judges of both Benches, and Barons of the Exchequer, of the Kingdoms of England and Ireland, the Constable and Lieutenant of The Tower of London, and the Vice Treasurer and Treasurer at Wars of the Kingdom of Ireland, be nominated and made in such Way as by both Houses of the Parliament of England shall be appointed, to continue quam diu se bene gesserint; and, in the Intervals of Parliament, by the said Committee appointed by both Houses of Parliament as aforesaid, to be approved or disallowed by both Houses at their next Meeting."

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page:

1. To desire a Conference with the House of Commons, To-morrow Morning, at Eleven of the Clock, concerning the Propositions.

2. To deliver the Ordinance concerning St. Olives Southwarke, for Mr. Aymes to be their Minister.

3. To put them in Mind of Mrs. Mary Piggott's Business.

Ordered, That the Cause between Andrewes and Skynner shall be argued on the First of November next, at Ten in the Morning.
