PRAYERS.

The Earl of Shaftesbury sat Speaker by virtue of a former Commission.

Browne v. W. & D. Tighe.

The Answer of William Frederick Fownes Tighe and Daniel Tighe Esquires, to the Petition and Appeal of William Browne Esquire, was this Day brought in.

Agricultural Labourers Employment Bill.

Ordered, That the Amendments made by the Committee, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for encouraging and facilitating the Employment of Labourers in Agriculture," stands referred, be printed for the Use of the Members of the Committee.

Ashford Roads Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Lord Cavendish and others;

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for maintaining and improving the Turnpike Roads leading from Ashford to Buxton, and from Tideswell to Blackwell, and from Edensor to Ashford, all in the County of Derby;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

The said Bill was read the First Time.

India & China Trade, Papers respecting, delivered.

The House being informed, "That Mr. Tomlins, from the Treasury, attended;"

He was called in; and delivered at the Bar, pursuant to an Order of the 8th of December last,

"An Account of Imports and Exports between Great Britain and all Places to the Eastward of the Cape of Good Hope, (excepting China,) distinguishing the Articles and the Value, and the Private Trade from that of The East India Company, in the Year 1830:"

Also, "An Account of all Goods imported into Great Britain from the East Indies and China (exclusive of Mauritius) in the Year ending 5th January 1831:"

Also, "An Account of all Goods exported from Great Britain to the East Indies and China (exclusive of Mauritius) in the Year ending 5th January 1831:"

Also, "An Account of the Quantity of Tea exported from Great Britain to Foreign Europe, to British Colonies and Possessions, and to all other Parts, in the Year ended 5th January 1831:"

And also, "A Statement of the several Articles of British Produce and Manufacture exported in American Vessels to China and to the East Indies in the Year 1831; together with the Official and Declared Value of each Article."

And then he withdrew.

And the Titles thereof being read by the Clerk;

Ordered, That the said Papers do lie on the Table.

Ordered, That the said Papers be printed.

Unclaimed Army Prize Money Account delivered.

The House being informed, "That Mr. Spicer, from Chelsea Hospital, attended;"

He was called in; and delivered at the Bar, pursuant to the Directions of an Act of Parliament,

"The Account of the Deputy Treasurer of the Royal Hospital at Chelsea of unclaimed Prize Money, from 18th January 1809 to 31st December 1831."

And then he withdrew.

And the Title thereof being read by the Clerk;

Ordered, That the said Account do lie on the Table.

Embezzlements Prevention Bill:

The Order of the Day being read for the Third Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for more effectually preventing Embezzlements by Persons employed in the Public Service of His Majesty;"

The said Bill was accordingly read the Third Time.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H.C. that the Lords have agreed to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Wingfield and Mr. Roupell;

To acquaint them, That the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Court of Session Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to provide for carrying on the Business of the Court of Session in Scotland when interrupted by the Death or necessary Absence of any of the Judges thereof."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the Whole House.

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee upon the said Bill To-morrow.
