After hearing Counsel further in the Cause wherein Archibald Wilson, and others, are Appellants, and Duncan Sinclair is Respondent:

It is Ordered, That the further Hearing of the said Cause be put off to Saturday next.

Mactavish v. Scott et al.

Ordered, That the Hearing of the Cause wherein John Mactavish is Appellant, and James Scott, and others, are Respondents, which stands appointed for this Day, be put off to Saturday next.

Devon Peerage, Com ee to meet.

Upon reading the Petition of William Viscount Courtenay, claiming the Earldom of Devon; praying, "That their Lordships will be pleased to appoint the Committee for Privileges to meet, to consider of the Petitioner's said Claim, on such Day as their Lordships shall seem fit, the Petitioner having laid his Case on their Lordships Table:"

It is Ordered, That the Committee for Privileges do meet to consider of the said Claim on Thursday the 16th of this instant December; and that Notice thereof be given to His Majesty's Attorney General.

Slane Peerage, Com ee to meet.

Ordered, That the Committee for Privileges, to whom the Petition of George Bryan of Jenkinstown, in the County of Kilkenny, Esquire, to His Majesty, praying, That his Claim to the Barony of Slane may be referred to the House of Peers, to report whether the said Title be or be not a Barony in Fee by Writ of Summons, descendible to Heirs General, and whether the same is or is not now in Abeyance between Edward Lord Dunsany and the Petitioner;" together with His Majesty's Reference thereof to this House, and the Report of The Attorney General thereunto annexed; and also the Petition of Henry Fleming of the City of Dublin, praying, "That their Lordships will not adjudge the Barony of Slane to the Claimant, Mr. Bryan, until he has fully and clearly proved that according to the Usage and Law of Ireland he is entitled to it, and that Time may be allowed until James Fleming, his eldest Brother, who is at present in France, and altogether ignorant of the Steps that have been taken by the said George Bryan, shall return and have an Opportunity of proving, at the Bar of their Lordships House, the Truth of the Allegations contained in the said Petition," stand referred, do meet to consider further of the said Claim on Thursday the 9th of this instant December; and that Notice thereof be given to His Majesty's Attorney General for England, and also to His Majesty's Attorney General and Solicitor General for Ireland.

Coals exported, Petition from Goole for Repeal of Duty on.

Upon reading the Petition of the Ship Owners, Merchants and others interested in the Trade and Commerce of the Port of Goole, in the County of York, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying their Lordships "to adopt Measures for the total Repeal of all Duties on Coals exported to Foreign Countries:"

It is Ordered, That the said Petition do lie on the Table.

Regency Bill.

The Order of the Day being read for the House to be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to provide for the Administration of the Government in case the Crown should descend to Her Royal Highness The Princess Alexandrina Victoria, Daughter of His late Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, being under the Age of Eighteen Years; and for the Care and Guardianship of Her Person;" and for the Lords to be summoned;

The House was accordingly adjourned during Pleasure. and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed:

And The Earl of Rosslyn reported from the Committee, "That they had gone through the Bill, and made several Amendments thereto, which he was ready to report, when the House will please to receive the same."

Ordered, That the said Report be received on Friday next.

Scotch Burghs, Petition from Perth for Reform in their Representative System.

Upon reading the Petition of the Merchant Burgesses and Members of the Guildry Incorporation of Perth, North Britain, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying, "That their Lordships will, with all convenient Dispatch, pass a general and liberal Measure, abolishing the ungracious and irritating System of Self-election of Magistrates, &c. in the Royal Burghs of Scotland, allowing the Burgesses of all Denominations their free and unfettered Choice of Magistrates and of Representatives in the Town Councils, and in general restoring the Burgesses of Scotland to their Rights as Freemen and Citizens, who have been guilty of nothing to forfeit the Privileges inherent in them by the Constitution of the Country:"

Upon reading the Petition of the Inhabitants of the Town of Cardiff and its Vicinity, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying, "That their Lordships House will adopt for itself, and recommend by its whole Influence with the other Branches of Legislature, Resolutions whereby a definite and not remote Period shall be positively fixed, after which Slavery in the British Dominions shall utterly and irrevocably cease:"
