PRAYERS.

Earl of Manchester was appointed to be Speaker this Day.

E. of Chesterfield will remain a Prisoner in London.

The Earl of Clare reported to this House, "That the Earl of Chesterfeild gives their Lordships Thanks for their Favour towards him; and hath promised him, upon his Honour, to be a true Prisoner at Thomas Mazene's House, at the Sign of The Orange Tree, in Bedford Street, in Covent Garden, and not to depart from thence without the Leave and Licence of this House first obtained."

Lady May, a Pass.

Ordered, That the Lady May shall have a Pass, to come from Bury, in Suff. to London, without any Molestation; and that a Coach and Four Horses shall be permitted to go from London to Bury, to bring her up to London.

Message to the H. C. for a Conference, on Three Ordinances.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Rich and Mr. Page:

To desire a present Conference, if it may stand with their Conveniency, in the Painted Chamber, touching Three Ordinances:

1. Concerning the Assembly.

2. Concerning Gunpowder and Salt-petre.

3. Concerning the Usage of Prisoners.

Message from the H. C. for a Conference concerning a Plot against the Parliament.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Nevill Poole:

To desire a present Conference, if it may stand with their Lordships Conveniency, by a Committee of both Houses, concerning a Discovery of a malicious Plot against the Good of the Parliament, City, and Kingdom.

The Answer returned was:

That their Lordships will give a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, as is desired.

Lady Arundel's Petition for a Protection.

The humble Petition of Blanch Lady Arundell, Widow; shewing, "That her Estate being sequestered by the Parliament, she desires that she may have the Leave of this House, to take a House in Sarum, and furnish it, whereby she may live privately; and that she may have the Protection of this House, for her House and Goods; and that those that do harbour her may not suffer for it."
