PRAYERS.

Earl of Denbigh, Speaker.

Skipwith and Allen, a Pass.

Ordered, That Mr. Skipwith, with Mrs. Allen, shall have a Pass, to go to Oxford.

E. of Westmoreland will appear when summoned.

The Earl of Denbigh reported to this House, "That the Earl of Westm. hath delivered upon his Honour to be a true Prisoner, and observe the Conditions mentioned in the Order of this House; and his Lordship will appear before this House whensoever he shall be commanded by this House."

L. Morley to have an Allowance out of his Estate.

Upon Information to this House, "That, by reason of the Sequestration of the Lord Morley's Estate, he hath no Means for his Subsistence:" It is Ordered, To be recommended to the Committee of Sequestrations, to give some Relief herein to his Lordship.

Pettus versus Bancroft.

Upon reading the Petition of Ketherine Pettus; shewing, " That whereas both Houses of Parliament made an Ordinance, that she should have the Possession of the Manor of Santon in Norff. Bancroft doth refuse to obey the said Ordinance, and keeps the Possession from her, which appeared by reading of a Certificate of Ric'd Carter and Wm. Smith, Sequestrators:" Hereupon it is Ordered, That the Defendants that disobey the Ordinance shall be sent for, as Delinquents, to answer their said Contempts.

Bickley's Petition.

Upon reading the Petition of Anne Bickley Wife of John Bickley, and reading the Certificate of Sir John Nulls and Mr. Baron Leeke: It is Ordered, That John Bickley shall have a Copy of the said Certificate, and shew Cause to this House why the Certificate should not be confirmed by this House, by Thursday next come Sevennight; and that the Creditors in whose Hands the Monies are, mentioned in the said Certificate, shall keep the Monies undisposed of in their Hands, until the Pleasure of this House be further known.

A Letter was read, from the Queen of Bohemia, directed, " For the Earl of Manchester, Speaker of the House of Peers.

Queen of Bohemia's Letter for Relief.

"My Lord,

"Since my last unto you, whereby I craved the Assistance of the most Honourable House of Peers (whereof you are Speaker), towards the Relief of my present Necessities, I daily find my Burden growing heavier, the longer their Help is deferred; which maketh me trouble you once again, by this Bearer, Cromwell, my Servant, whom I send expressly over about this Business, desiring you to give him such Credit and Access as my Occasions may therein require. Hereby I would intreat you to represent my earnest Request to the most Honourable House, that they would be pleased to grant me their favourable Concurrence, in this Time of my Need, whereby I may be freed both from my pressing Wants, and from the Mischiefs which may thereupon ensue. I have no Cause to doubt but that the Lords, understanding the Extremity of my Case, will take an honourable Sense thereof, and hasten on their Parts the Means of my Supply: Whereof I beseech you to assure them all that I shall be ever sensible, and remain,

Hagbe, 29th June, 1643.

Ordered, That this Letter be communicated to the House of Commons, to be recommended unto them, and they desired to take the same into their Consideration, that she may be supplied with those usual Allowances as formerly she had from this Kingdom, as soon as they shall find Means to do it.

Message to the H. C. for a Conference about it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Edward Leech and Dr. Aylett:

To desire a Conference, in the Painted Chamber, touching a Letter received from the Queen of Bohemia.

Sprat, for abusing L. Howard of Est.

Upon reading a Letter of Symon Spratt, written to the Lord Howard of Est. wherein he scandalizeth his Lordship; saying, " That his Lordship hath pawned "his Honour:" It is Ordered, That the said Spratt shall be apprehended presently, as a Delinquent, and brought before this House on Wednesday Morning next.

That the House of Commons will give a present Conference, as is desired, in the Painted Chamber.

Hawkins, a Pass.

Ordered, That Mr. Wm. Hawkins shall have a Pass, to go to Iver, in the County of Bucks, so often as he shall have Occasion, with his Wife, Servants, and their Horses, and to return again to London.

Vaneinden's Cause.

Ordered, That Mr. Vaneynden's Cause shall be heard on Thursday next.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the House was resumed.
