Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for establishing of a Free Grammar School, and Lands thereunto be longing, in Wootton Underedge, in the County of Glou cester, suppressed by one John Smith, a Lawyer, in the Sixth Year of His late Majesty, of Happy Memory.

The Lord Archbishop of Cant reported the Bill for better Maintenance of the Ministry fit to pass, with some Amendments; which Amendments were Twice read, and allowed of, and the Bill Ordered to be in grossed.

Hodie Johannes Boteler, Baro Boteler de Bra feild, in Comitatu Hertford, introductus fuit, Robis suis Parlia mentaribus indutus, creatus per Chartam datam 30 Julii, Anno Regni Regis Caroli Quarto, 1628; et locatus proximus post Dominum Savil.

E. of Sussexs Privilege Tempest arrested.

The Petition of Richard Tempest read, Servant to the Earl of Sussex, arrested contrary to the Privilege of Parliament; and the Earl of Dorsett affirmed, that the said Earl of Sussex avows him to be his Servant.

Ordered, Habeas corpus, &c. pro Tempest, ret. 24 Jan. hora nona And the Parties who made the Arrest to be warned to appear here then also.

The Earl of Mulgrave is added to the Committees for Privileges and Petitions.
