Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act concerning Alteration and Exchange of some Lands, in Fulham, in Comitatu Midd. between the Right Honourable the Lord Bishop of London, Lord Treasurer of England, and Sir Nicholas Crispe, Knight, etc.

To meet on Wednesday next, videlicet, 16th of this instant December, at Two o'Clock in the Afternoon, in the Painted Chamber; and the Dean and Chapter of St. Paule's in London to have Notice of it.

The Petition of John Howes, Clerk, was read, in hæc verba:

Mr Howes (Vicar of Banbury's) Petition.

"To the Right Honourable the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, in the High Court of Parliament assembled.

"The humble Petition of John Howes, Clerk, Vicar of Banbury, now a Prisoner in The Fleet.

"Humbly sheweth,

"That your Petitioner doth most humbly, and with all Thankfulness, acknowledge your Lordships most Honourable and full Hearing of him, and your Gracious Proceedings upon the Petition exhibited to this most High Court against him.

"And he doth humbly acknowledge his great Offence against a very Honourable Person, a Peer and Member of this High and Honourable Court of Parliament; and that therein likewise he hath (to his exceeding great Grief) given Offence to your Lordships, for which he is sorry from his Heart, and doth confess he hath been justly and deservedly committed for it to The Fleet.

"He therefore most humbly beseecheth your Honourable good Lordships, That, upon this his most humble and hearty Submission (in all Humility herein presented to your Honours), he may, by your good Grace and Favours, be now enlarged from this his Imprisonment, and repair to his Cure. And, as he is bound, shall pray," etc.

To be released upon his Submission to L. Say and Seale.

Hereupon it was Ordered by the House, That the said Mr. Howes shall be released of his Imprisonment upon Monday next, and first brought to this Bar, to make his humble Submission to this Honourable House, and to the Lord Viscount Say in particular.

Riot in the Church at Halstead.

Poole and Haward committed.

This Day Jonathan Poole and Robert Haward, Two Delinquents for the Riot committed in the Church of Halsteed, were brought to the Bar; and, denying the Fact, it was Ordered by this House, That the Witnesses be again sent for, to give Evidence here upon Oath; and the said Jonathan Poole and Robert Haward to be committed unto The Fleet, for their Forth-coming, until the Cause be heard at Bar.

Garrat Day's Petition read.

This Day was read the Petition of Garret Daye, committed by this House the 11th of this present December, until he pay the Charges of Phillip Bernardo, which he is not able to pay, nor Fees to the Value of Twenty Shillings; therefore desire their Lordships to commiserate himself and his poor Wife, and to grant him his Liberty, without which he should perish. Hereupon it was Ordered by the House, That the said Garret Day be forthwith released out of Prison, without paying any Charges to the said Bernardo, or any other Fees.

E. of Cleveland Leave to speak with the E of Strafford.

The Earl of Cleveland moved the House, for Leave to go to The Tower, and speak with the Earl of Strafford; which was granted him.
