Longuevile's Claim to the Baronies of Hastings and Ruthin to be heard.
According to an Order made by this House the 8th of this Instant December, Mr. Longevile's Cause was heard at Bar, with Counsel on both Sides, concerning his Title and Claim to the Dignities of Lord Hastings and Ruthin; and the Petition of Mr. Longevile being first read publicly in the House, the Counsel on both Sides at Bar; and afterwards, the Reference from His Majesty to this House being read, the Counsel of the Earl of Kent made a long Argument; but, being late, the House did Order That the Counsel for Mr. Longevile should be heard at Bar To-morrow Morning.

Mr. Howes Vicar of Banbury, discharged.
This Day Mr. Howes, Vicar of Banbury, (fn. 1) was brought to the Bar, according to an Order of this House, made the 12th of this Instant December, to make his humble Submission and Acknowledgement to this Honourable House, and in particular to the Right Honourable the Lord Viscount Say and Seale; which accordingly he did. After this, the Lord Viscount Saye desired their Lordships to pardon the said Mr. Howes, and rendered their Lordships Thanks for the Care they have had in Reparation of his Honour; whereupon it was Ordered by the House, upon the Suit and Request of the Lord Viscount Say and Seale, That the said Mr. Howes should be pardoned for this Offence, and be released of his Imprisonment for this Particular.
Lord Strange Leave to be absent.
It was moved, That the Lord Strange might have Leave to be absent from the House, for some certain Days, upon some Occasion of Business; which the House consented to.
