Liverpool Streets Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Gascoyne and others:
With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for opening, making, widening and altering certain Streets, Passages and Places within the Town of Liverpool, in the County Palatine of Lancaster; for supplying the said Town with Fresh and wholesome Water; for removing and preventing Nuisances and Annoyances therein; for appointing additional Market Places; and for extending so much of the Powers of an Act of the Second Year of His present Majesty as relates to Hackney Coachmen, Chairmen, Carters, and Porters to a certain Distance beyond the Liberties of the said Town;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
The said Bill was read the First Time.

Great Torrington Roads Bill.
The Lord Hawke made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Term, and altering and enlarging the Powers of an Act passed in the Fifth Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, for repairing, widening, and keeping in Repair several Roads in and near Great Torrington in the County of Devon," was committed.
Liverpool to Preston Road Bill.
The Lord Hawke also made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for more effectually repairing the Road from Liverpool to Preston in the County of Lancaster," was committed.

The Lord Hawke reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dividing and enclosing the Commons and Waste Grounds within the Borough or Township of Clitheroe in the County Palatine of Lancaster," was committed: That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents to the Satisfaction of the Committee; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Cuninghame against Cuningham et al.
Upon reading the Petition of William Cuninghame Esquire, Appellant in a Cause depending in this House, and of Henry Cuningham Esquire and others Respondents thereto; setting forth, "That this Cause stands for Hearing on an early Day; but the Counsel engaged on both Sides being at present upon the Circuits;" the Petitioners therefore pray, "That their Lordships will be pleased to postpone the Hearing of this Cause till Wednesday the 12th Day of April next:"

York Buildings Company against Ld. Elphinston, Appellants' Petition to postpone Hearing rejected.
A Petition of the Governor and Company of Undertakers, for raising the Thames Water in York Buildings; Appellants in a Cause depending in this House, to which John Lord Elphinston is Respondent, was presented and read; setting forth, "That this Cause some Time since was set down for Hearing by the Respondent for Wednesday the 22d Instant: That ever since the Cause was set down the Appellants' Agent has been pressing in his Correspondence for the necessary Papers, in order to draw his Case against the Time fixed by their Lordships for the said Hearing: That he has received several Answers to his Letters; that the whole Papers had been laid before one of the Lawyers in the Cause in Edinburgh for the Purpose of drawing the Case; but that the same could not be here by the Day appointed for the said Hearing, and hoping their Lordships would indulge them with a Fortnight's Delay: That the Petitioner's Agent has not a single Paper in the Cause except one given into the Court of Session on Behalf of the Respondent, which his Agent had furnished him with Three Days since; but from that he cannot undertake to make out a Case to do Justice to his Client's Cause, or give Information to their Lordships;" and therefore praying, "That their Lordships will postpone the Hearing of this Cause for a Fortnight, and appoint the same to be heard on Wednesday the 5th Day of April next."
And thereupon the Agents on both Sides were called in, and heard at the Bar;
And being withdrawn;

After hearing Counsel this Day upon the Petition and Appeal of Charles Mercer Esquire, of Lethindy, complaining of certain Parts of Three Interlocutors of the Lord Ordinary in Scotland, of the 17th of February, the 8th of July, and 10th of August 1784, also of an Interlocutor of the Lords of Session there, of the 25th of January 1785, also of Three other Interlocutors of the said Lord Ordinary of the 27th of January, the 3d of February, and 8th of March 1785, also of another Interlocutor of the said Lords of the 11th of March 1785, and also of another Interlocutor of the said Lord Ordinary of the 11th of June 1785; and praying, "That the same might be reversed in so far as the same are complained of, or that the Appellant might have such other Relief in the Premises as to this House in their Lordships' great Wisdom should seem meet;" and also upon the Answer of Robert Williamson Minister of the Parish of Lethindy, put in to the said Appeal, and due Consideration had of what was offered on either Side in this Cause.
Interlocutors affirmed with Costs.
It is Ordered, and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal be, and is hereby dismissed this House, and that the said several Interlocutors therein complained of be, and the same are hereby affirmed; and it is further ordered, That the Appellant do pay or cause to be paid to the said Respondent, the Sum of One hundred Pounds for his Costs, in respect of the said Appeal.

The Earl of Radnor, reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Estate late of Sir Thomas Pym Hales Baronet deceased, in the County of Kent, in Trustees to be sold and disposed of, for the Payment of certain Incumbrances affecting the same; and for other Purposes therein mentioned," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and made some Amendments thereto."
Which Amendments, being read Twice by the Clerk, were agreed to by the House.
