HODIE tres Billæ allatæ sunt a Domo Communi, per Edwardum Cooke, Militem, et alios:

1. An Act for the further Reformation of sundry Abuses committed on the Lord's-day, commonly called Sunday.

2. An Act for Establishing and Confirmation of the Foundation of the Hospital of King James, founded in Charter House, in the County of Midd. at the humble Petition, and only Costs and Charges, of Thomas Sutton, Esquire, and of the Possessions thereof.

3. An Act for the Naturalizing of Sir Robert Dyall, Knight, one of the Gentlemen of His Majesty's Privy Chamber, and George Kyrke, Esquire, one of the Grooms of His Majesty's Bed-chamber.

Petition of Right.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, that the Lord Keeper and the rest of the Committee for the Petition exhibited by the Commons might withdraw, and consider of the Petition of Right delivered by the Commons.

Report from the Committee, concerning this Petition.

The said Committee being returned, and the House resumed; the Lord Keeper reported, That the said Committee had considered of the Change of some Words in the said Petition, without Alteration of the Substance thereof, which were read. His Lordship further reported, That the whole Debate touching Commitment by the King or Council, without Cause expressed, is left to the House entirely.

The Debate of which Point was referred unto Monday Morning next.

The Alterations

In the First Leaf, the 15th Line, omit the Word ["Pretext"], and in Place thereof put in the Word ["Means"].

In the same Leaf, and the 16th Line, after the Word ["required"] and before the Words ["to lend"], put in ["upon pressing and urgent Causes of the State then alledged"].

In the 17th Line, instead of the Word ["unlawful"], put in ["new and unusual"].

In the 18th Line, put out the Words ["before Your Privy Council"], and, in Lieu thereof, put in ["at London"].

In the 22d Line, put out the Word ["by"], and, in the Place thereof, put in ["alledging some Superior"]. and in the same Line put out these Words ["from Your Majesty or Your Privy Council"]; and place the Words ["against the Laws and free Customs of the Realm"] before the Word ["alledging"].

In the Second Leaf, the 25th Line, after the Word ["Nature"], put in ["extended to any except Soldiers or Mariners; or to be executed in Time of Peæce, or when and where Your Majesty's Army is not on Foot"].

In the same Leaf, and the 37th Line, after the Word ["executed"], put in these Words ["upon any but Soldiers or Mariners, or to be executed in Time of Peace, or when and where Your Majesty's Army is not on Foot"]; and the Words as aforesaid to be put out.

Ld. Treasurer's Privileges Lawes discharged.

Hodie Humfry Lewes, Servant to the Lord Treasurer, arrested upon Mesne Process in The Compter, Poultry, London, was delivered out of Prison, because it appeared he was arrested contrary to the Privilege of Parliament. And it was further Ordered, The Sheriffs of London to be discharged for the same.

Adjourn.
