Sir Gyles Mompesson.
Message from the Lower House, by Mr. Treasurer of the Household and others. The Commons take Notice of some Warrants issued by the Lords, for Search, in certain Places, for Papers, concerning such Matters wherewith Sir Gyles Mompesson standeth charged; that the Parties therein employed have found and brought away, concerning the same Business, certain Papers, by them sealed up; also a Trunk and Bags, with Papers and Books in them, also sealed up, which they desire may be sent unto them; that some Question is made by the said Persons, so employed in the same Search, wherein they desire further Warrant from the Lords, to authorise them to open Locks on Doors or Chests, if otherwise they may not search as aforesaid.

The Lords do grant their Request in all Points; and, touching the first, the Papers, Trunk, and Bags, shall be sent unto them; and wherein the Warrant mentioned yieldeth Scruple, for Want of Authority to open Locks on Doors, Chests, &c. the same shall be enlarged, as is desired.

Message to the House of Commons.
Order is given for Addition of Words unto the Warrant, by the Messengers mentioned, whereby the Persons assigned to make such Search as aforesaid shall be authorised to open Locks on Doors, or Chests, as their Messengers desire; the Papers, Trunk, and Bags, with the Books and Writings therein, are sent unto them. The Lords have given Order for further Search forthwith to be made, for such Purpose as aforesaid.

Hospitals and Poor Houses.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the reviving and making perpetual of One Act, made in the Thirty-ninth Year of the Reign of the late Queen Elizabeth, intituled, An Act for erecting of Hospitals, and Abiding and Working Houses, for the Poor.
Charter House.
The Lord Archbishop of Cant. first of the Committees on the Bill for Confirmation of the Hospital of King James, founded in Charter-house, within the County of Midd. at the humble Petition, and only Costs and Charges, of Thomas Sutton, Esquire, brought the same Bill into the House, with some Amendments, which were Twice read, and ordered to be ingrossed with the Bill.
River Thames to Oxford.
Upon the Lord Chamberlain's Motion, it is appointed, The Committees on the Bill for bringing the River of Thames, and making it Navigable to Oxford, are appointed to meet on Thursday Morning, at Eight of the Clock, in the Committee Chamber.
Gold and Silver Thread.
The Bill against Transportation of Gold and Silver, &c.
Being without Day, the Committees thereof are appointed to meet, for further Consideration thereof, on Saturday in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Painted Chamber.

Information, That the Trunk, Bags, and Papers, concerning the Matters wherewith Sir Gyles Mompesson standeth charged, and were by Order of this House taken upon Search, are delivered to them of the Lower House.
