Cum Nos nuper, de Avisamento et Assensu Concilii Nostri, pro quibusdam arduis et urgentibus Negotiis, Nos, Statum et Defensionem Regni Nostri Angliæ et Ecclesiæ Anglicanæ concernentibus, præsens Parliamentum Nostrum, apud Civitatem nostram Westm. decimo nono die Martii, Anno Regni Nostri Angliæ, Franciæ, et Hiberniæ Primo, et Scotiæ Tricesimo septimo, inchoatum, et ibidem tunc tentum; ac deinde, per diversas Prorogationes, usque ad et in nonum diem instantis mensis Februarii prorogatum, apud dictam Civitatem nostram Westm. teneri ordinaverimus; ac ibidem, vobiscum, ac cum Prælatis, Magnatibus, et Proceribus dicti Regni Nostri, Colloquium habere et Tractatum; vobis, sub Fide et Ligeantia quibus Nobis tenemini, firmiter injungendo mandamus, quod, consideratis dictorum Negotiorum Arduitate, et Periculis imminentibus, cessante Excusatione quacunque, dicto nono die instantis mensis Februarii, apud dictam Civitatem Nostram Westmonaster. personaliter intersitis, Nobiscum, ac cum Prælatis, Magnatibus, et Proceribus prædictis, super dictis Negotiis tractaturi, vestrumque Consilium impensuri. L. Howard of Walden introduced.

This Day, the Lord Howard of Walden, being summoned to this present Parliament by His Majesty's Writ of the Tenor hereunder written, was brought into the House, in his Parliament Robes, by the Lord Knollis, and the Lord Gerard, who were also in their Parliament Robes; and thereupon he presented his Writ to the Lord Chancellor; which Writ was presently delivered to the Clerk of the Parliament, and read by him accordingly; and the said Lord Howard was brought by the aforesaid Lords unto his due Place, between the Lord Norreys and the Lord Knollis.
