Wherrymen, &c.

The Bill concerning Wherrymen and Watermen, was returned to the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Cant. the first of the Committees, with certain Amendments, and a Proviso thought meet to be added.

Absent Lords admonished for Non-attendance.

The Lord Chancellor delivered a Message from the King's Majesty, to this Effect; "That His Highness, having received Knowledge, that sundry of the Lords do neglect their Attendance in the House, without any sufficient or necessary Occasion for their Absence, is pleased that Signification be given unto them of His Majesty's just Dislike taken thereof; and that they be admonished from henceforth (and the rather for that the Parliament doth now draw towards an End, and many Businesses of Importance do remain undispatched) to give their more diligent Attendance, as to their Duties appertaineth." And withall his Lordship did deliver unto the Lords what strict Course hath been taken in former Times, for the censuring of such Lords of Parliament, as did then in like Sort absent themselves without reasonable Cause.
