PRAYERS.

L. Blantyre & Seaton versus Currie.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Walter Lord Blantyre, and George Seaton, of Barnes, Esquire, complaining of several Interlocutory Sentences of the Lords of Council and Session in Scotland, as Commissioners for planting of Kirks; particularly One made the Sixteenth of July One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven, and another the Fourteenth of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ten, on the Behalf of Mr. John Currie Minister of Haddington; and praying, "That the same may be reversed:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Mr. John Currie may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Friday the Twentysecond Day of May next, at Eleven a Clock.

Chamberlain and Baynes' Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Hugh Chamberlain Doctor in Physic, and Walter Baynes Gentleman; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to vest the Premises in the Petition mentioned in Trustees, to be sold; and, by the Money arising from such Sale, to purchase other Lands near London, to be settled to the same Uses as the Premises to be sold now are:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Baron of the Court of Exchequer and Mr. Justice Powys; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Standing Order concerning Bills about Exchange of Lands to be considered.

Notice being taken, "That great Inconveniencies may happen by Private Bills empowering Persons to sell Lands in one Place, and buy Lands in another, if some further Regulation be not observed in respect thereof;" and the Standing Order of this House, of the 16th of February 1705, relating to such Bills being read:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Tuesday next, at Twelve a Clock, the said Standing Order shall be taken into Consideration; and all the Lords to be summoned; and that the Judges do then attend this House.
