Canham's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for supplying the Defect of an Appointment for the Provision of the Younger Children of John Canham Esquire deceased, pursuant to his Marriage Settlement; and for settling an Estate in Totteridge, in Lieu of Thirteen Hundred Pounds, the Remainder of a Sum of Money agreed to be laid out in a Purchase."

Upon the First Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for supplying the Defect of an Appointment for the Provision of the Younger Children of John Canham Esquire, deceased, pursuant to his Marriage Settlement; and for settling an Estate in Totteridge, in Lieu of Thirteen Hundred Pounds, the Remainder of a Sum of Money agreed to be laid out in a Purchase:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Bill shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Baron Smith and Mr. Justice Dormer; who are forthwith to summon all Parties that are to be concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands.

Cole versus Godfrey.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Anne Cole Widow, and Harry Cole Esquire, to which Mercy Godfrey, Executrix of William Godfrey, who was Executor of Henry Godfrey deceased, is Respondent, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, by the Master of the Rolls, the One and Thirtieth of May One Thousand Seven Hundred and Four, and an Order of the Seventh of March following; and praying the Judgement of this House thereupon:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Mercy Godfrey may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and she is hereby required to put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Tuesday the Eighteenth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven a Clock.

Lee's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the enabling Agnes Lee Widow to renew certain Leases for Lives, belonging to Richard Lee her Son, who is an Infant."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following:

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Saturday, the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Chamberlaine versus Newte.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for hearing the Judges, upon the Petition and Appeal of Roger Chamberlaine, and the Answer of John Newte, as to this Point, "Whether the Tithe payable for Corn ground in a Horse Malt Mill is a Personal, Predial, or Mixed Tithe; and in what Manner Tithe is to be paid for Corn ground in such Mill, if any Tithe is due for the same:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Judges thereupon, on Monday the Seventeenth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven a Clock.

Charlton's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate in the County of Montgomery, late Part of the Estate of Gilbert Charlton Esquire deceased; and for purchasing other Estate or Estates, in the Counties of Nottingham, Leicester, or Lincoln, to be settled to the like Uses as the Estate in the County of Montgomery was settled."

Upon the First Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate in the County of Montgomery, late Part of the Estate of Gilbert Charlton Esquire deceased; and for purchasing other Estate or Estates, in the Counties of Nottingham, Leicester, or Lincoln, to be settled to the like Uses as the Estate in the County of Montgomery was settled:"

West Riding York, Register Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for the House to be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Enrolment of Bargains and Sales within the West Riding of the County of York in the Register-office there lately provided; and for making the said Register more effectual:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee upon the said Bill, on Thursday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven a Clock.

Niccoll's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable the Lord High Treasurer, or Commissioners of the Treasury, for the Time being, to compound with Benjamine Niccoll, Citizen and late Merchant of London, and his Sureties, for the Debt owing by him to Her Majesty."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following:

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Tuesday the Eleventh Day of this Instant February, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

The House being acquainted, "That there are Papers published in Coffee-houses, pretended to be Minutes and Proceedings of the House of Lords;" some of which Papers were produced and read in the House:

Committee to consider of such Libels.

Lords Committees appointed to consider of the publishing of Libels, pretended to be Minutes and Proceedings of the House of Lords; whose Lordships, having considered thereof, and sent for Papers, and heard such Persons concerning the same, in order to find out the Authors thereof, as they shall think fit, are to report to the House; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Monday next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Simmon's and Soares, Report delivered.

The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That Mr. Baron Smith and Mr. Justice Dormer were ready to make their Reports to this House, upon the several Petitions of Perkins Simmons and John Soare and others, referred to them, when the House will please to receive the same."

Which said Reports being delivered; it was agreed, and Ordered, That the same shall be read on Tuesday next, at Eleven a Clock.
