Countess Dowager of Derby versus E. Derby.
Upon reading the Petition of Elizabeth Countess Dowager of Derby; shewing, "That the Petitioner, upon her Marriage with William George Richard late Earl of Derby, had a Jointure settled upon her, of several Manors and Lands, in the Counties of Lancaster, York, and Cheshire; and, since her Husband's Death, James Earl of Derby hath claimed great Part of the Manors and Lands comprized in her Jointure, upon which several References have been entered into, but have expired without Effect; that, upon the last Reference, the Suits were stopped, upon Agreement that all Privilege of Parliament should be waived in all Suits then depending, or afterwards to be commenced, either in Law or Equity, as in the Petition more at large is set forth;" and praying, "That the Petitioner's Case may be taken into Consideration, and to give Judgement upon the said Waiver of Privilege, to the End the Petitioner may have the Benefit thereof:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Derby may have a Copy of the said Petition; and do answer thereunto on Monday next.

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the supplying a Defect of an Appointment for the Provision of the Younger Children of John Canham Esquire, deceased, pursuant to his Marriage Settlement; and for settling an Estate in Totteridge, in Lieu of Thirteen Hundred Pounds, the Remainder of a Sum of Money agreed to be laid out in a Purchase;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

This Day being appointed, for hearing Counsel and Witnesses, to make good what was alledged in the Petition of Stephen Jermyn, of London, Merchant, and Stephen Jermyn his Son, for dissolving the Marriage of the said Stephen Jermyn the Son, with Sarah Bell, as also Counsel and Witnesses for Sarah Bell; Counsel and Witnesses were heard for the Petitioners: But none appearing for the said Sarah; and due Consideration of what was offered in this Case:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave given them to bring in a Bill, pursuant to the Prayer of the said Petition.

Upon reading the Petition of John Deye; praying "That a further Day may be appointed, for hearing of his Appeal depending in this House, to which Thomas Stevenson and Jane his Wife are Respondents;" as also an Affidavit of Notice of this Petition to the said Respondent:
