Petre's Petition referred to Judges.
Upon reading the Petition of Joseph Petre Esquire and Dorothy his Wife, John Petre Son and Heir Apparent of the said Joseph, Philip Waldegrave Esquire, George Petre, and Thomas Petre, Brothers of the said Joseph; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable Joseph Petre to sell the Manor of Waltham-Hall, and certain Farms in Takely, in the County of Essex, and the Advowsons of Chignal St. Mary, St. James's, and Mashbury, for the Payment of his Debts; and to settle other Lands, in the same County, to the same Uses:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Powis and Mr. Justice Blencowe; who are forthwith to summon all Parties that are to be concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition.
Watkins versus Price.
Upon reading the Petition of John Watkins; praying a Day may be appointed, for hearing of the Cause whereto John Price is Respondent:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on the Second Day of sitting after Christmas.
Count. of Radnor versus Sir R. Childe;
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Sarah Countess Dowager of Radnor, brought into this House the Seventeenth Day of November last, as to this Point only, "Whether the Case of the said Countess Dowager be so materially varied, by the Death of the Annuitant in the Petition mentioned, as that it ought to be heard as a new or original Cause?" as also Counsel for Sir Richard Childe; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:
Appeal not received.
It is this Day Resolved, upon the Question, and Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Sarah Countess Dowager of Radnor shall not be received.
Adjourn.
