Sherrington versus Harris & al.

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing of the Cause wherein Bennet Sherrington is Appellant, and Henry Harris, Thomas Smith, Thomas Bedford and Sarah his Wife, George Nevet and Anne his Wife, are Respondents:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Twelfth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock.

Harley & al. versus Searle & al.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing of the Cause wherein William Harley and Daniel Smith are Appellants, and John Betts and Mary his Wife, Edward Searle and his Wife are Respondents:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock.

Lawrence & al. versus Blachford & al.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Thomas Lawrence Baronet, and John Lawrence; praying, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing of their Appeal to which Robert Blachford and others are Respondents:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Fourteenth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock.

Moore versus Cross.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of John Moore and others:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Counsel for Roger and John Cross, Respondents to the said Appeal, shall be heard To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock; and nothing to intervene.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to vest the Estate of Charles Lord Howard, Baron of Escrick, in Trustees, to sell the same, for Payment of his Debts."

Naval Affairs, State of;

The Duke of Bolton reported from the Lords Committees, appointed to consider of the State of the Nation, in relation to Naval Affairs,

"That Mr. Thompson (who pretends to own the Cargo in the Ship Friendship, which was loaded at Bourdeaux by Mr. White, whose Partner is Mr. Lavie,) may be sent for, with their Books and Papers."

To which the House agreed; and ordered as follows; (videlicet,)

Thompson to attend:

"The House being informed, from the Lords Committees, appointed to consider of the State of the Nation in relation to Naval Affairs, That Mr. Stephen Thompson, Merchant, pretends to own the Cargo in the Ship Friendship, which was loaded at Bourdeaux by Mr. White: It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Stephen Thompson shall and he is hereby required to attend this House To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock, and bring with him his Books and Papers relating to that Matter."

Lavie to be attached;

"The House being informed, from the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the State of the Nation in relation to Naval Affairs, That they have received Information upon Oath, That Mr. Henry Lavie, Partner with Mr. White, loaded the Ship Friendship at Bourdeaux: It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Body of the said Henry Lavie, and bring him in safe Custody (with his Books and Papers) to this House; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf."

and Captain Edwards and Mr. Hodge to attend.

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Captain Benjamin Edwards and Mr. Richard Hodge do attend this House To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock."
