Gloucester Poor, Bill.

The Lord Bishop of London reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for incorporating certain Persons, for the better providing for, and setting at Work, the Poor in the City of Gloucester," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for incorporating certain Persons, for the better providing for, and setting at Work, the Poor in the City of Gloucester."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, The Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Parker versus Burroughs & al.:

After hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition and Appeal of Anthony Parker, and the Answer of Humphry Burroughs and George Reynolds put in thereunto:

Judgement affirmed, with Costs.

It was ORDERED and Adjudged, That the Petition be dismissed, and the Decree affirmed.

Then, it being proposed, "To give Costs to the Respondents Burroughs and Reynolds;" and Debate thereupon:

This Question was put, "Whether the Appellant shall pay Twenty Pounds Costs to the Respondent?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Anthony Parker, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery the Seventeenth Day of November last past, in a Cause there depending, wherein Humphry Burroughs and George Reynolds were Complainants, and the Appellant Anthony Parker and others Defendants; and praying "the Reversal of the said Decree; and that the Respondents Bill in Chancery may be dismissed:" As also upon the Answer of the said Humphry Burroughs and George Reynolds put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

It is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petition and Appeal of the said Anthony Parker shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed: And it is further ORDERED, That the said Anthony Parker shall pay, or cause to be paid, unto the Respondents Humphry Burroughs and George Reynolds, the Sum of Twenty Pounds Costs, in defending the said Appeal in this House.

Adjourn.
